I would however like to have seen better instructions on how to set up the options. The owners manual is not really detailed enough for the consumer to do this without the trial and error method.

I use it as a standalone fridge for extra food that doesn't fit my kitchen one. I have only had it for under one month so I can't say much,but will come back later for an update.

Posted .Hey Hobart! The tightness in the door seal indicates that the gasket is sealing properly. If you're opening the freezer/refrigerator, I suggest gently sliding your hand around the gasket and door frame to loosen the seal so that you can open the door. I Hope this helps! Some issues are that the door suction is almost too good and when you pull the door open the whole thing starts to slide towards you. We also find that with the configuration of shelves that milk containers are too high for all but the one shelf which is disappointing.
