I already have a 4TB SSD to supplement storage on my MacBook M3 pro but needed a reliable backup drive for time machine and online storage for that size is expensive. This drive works great for me. I've had a standard external drive fail before so having the extra shock proofing was a key requirement. The price and performance are competitive and hopefully, I will never have to test read speed, but I am ready just in case.

This worked great on my mac studio but wont even show on my older windows computers. Stay away if you havent upgraded in a bit.

This hard drive is perfect if you are in various conditions on any photo/video projects. The outside part protects it from drops, being in bags, etc. The upload speeds to it are pretty quick and 4TB is great for what I need it for!

Great external storage option. Works well and fast. Not that loud when reading/writing data. Great size as well for the storage capacity.

If you need large capacity backup storage, this could be it. Strong, sturdy, well protected. I have heard that some solid-state drives are failing without notice; no warning. No answer as to why. So I don't discount these spinning drives yet, and the price keeps them competitive...for now.

I use them faithfully to hold my portraits and the have been extremely reliable.

It works fine and i have no qualms with how it operates. Plenty of storage. My content runs on it. My only issue was that i had to delete and then reformat the partition in order to actually access the main part of the drive. That was annoying. And there were no instructions on how to do that so i had to go to youtube.

I bought this to do a backup of an expensive laptop's corrupted (by BitLocker) hard drive. I had issues getting this hard drive recognized by Windows 11. After much trial and error (there was no documentation or help in the quick start guide), I discovered it was due to the large storage size and file system on the drive. After formatting the drive, it worked like a charm.

I can now store all my documents, videos, and photos in one storage. Incredibly fast and reliable.

Excellent solution for a reliable backup device. This drive was spot on for backups on my primary computer. It interfaces nicely with the MacOS environment, and will provide me years of reliable backups. I am securing the drive in a fireproof container to ensure I have all of my info safely stored.

It seems to be ruggedly built and passed my drive tests but I find it bizarre that you cannot access and format it without downloading software. In this era any such device should work "out-of-the-box" and I have never had an external drive before that didn't. Be aware, requires a bit of knowledge to make it functional.

Hey. Hey... In comparison to LaCie (now questionable) just as good if not better…(apples to apples)…2 of my LaCie are acting weird even though minimal use (ejects itself). Thinking might fail. Not taking any chances
