This is the best product for my Garmin GPS I could find because I am short and did not want mounted on windshield. My dash was also angled but this worked on my vents. (Sometimes falls off going over big bumps.)

This is a well made unit that securely mounted my Garmin GPS to the air vent in my car. Gave it a great position and no vibration from car movement.. Only will work with a Garmin ball mount GPS and may not fit all vehicles due to shape of air vent fins. Works fine in my Buick but not to sure if will clamp to the round vents in my F150 (have not tried it yet).

I like this method of mounting better than the windshield suction cup. With windshields being so slanted, a suction cup mount forces you to mount the GPS high on the glass near the rear view mirror with the power cord dangling down in front of you. This mount, used correctly, securely mounts your GPS within easy reach with the cord out of the way. Its tightening knob works great (although you could overtighten and break it). I used a vent vane which allows most of the vent to be unobstructed and tried the mount in two different cars. No problems with either vehicle.

Great idea to attach your GPS to a vent, however when you turn a corner, the weight of the GPS swings the vent left or right (along with your GPS). There needs to be more development on the product to keep this from happening. I would recommend a different method of attachment.

I like this mount because it is not up on my windshield blocking my view. I tried a weighted mount, but they still slide around if you have to stop suddenly. I was worried about it blocking the air vent, but it has not been a problem.

I've had a number of Garmin mounts for my dashboard. All, especially the suction cups have had a hard time in sunlight, even for short periods. Too often I've found my Garmin face down of the floor. This mount is very secure and fits well on my Honda Crosstour. At high speed, if I have some vibration the mount does wobble left and right.

Like the idea of not having to put my GPS on the windshield with a suction cup that leaves rings. The unit fits easily on my cars air vent (2005 Lexus ES330). I put it on the air vent closes to the steering wheel, easy to view while driving. There are no instructions, had a bit of problem as to how you remove it from the device. I went on youtube and found the answer.

The air vent mount works great and keeps the unsightly rings from occurring on our windshields. However, the Garmin location does block air conditioning flow from reaching the driver/passenger. However, my choice of mount is the Garmin stand and pad that sits on the dash. The reason for not receving 5 stars is the best option available. This mount is a cheaper mounting solution for those not concerned with air movement from one vent.

Purchased this and used it on vertical vent near my steering wheel. Worked well for a while then the rubber grips broke from road bumps. I only recommended for horizontal vents

Installed in 2009 Lexus ES. Fits perfectly, very securely holds my Garmin GPS in place.

The clips on this vent holder were not long enough to go far enough thru the vent to grab and hold my gps. There is a ninety degree bend at the end of the clip that is supposed to latch onto the vent. It was not long enough and maybe had that been a little longer it may have worked. I went with a different make of vent holder.

Vent mount does the job as expected. Secure, brings Garmin unit closer, and off windshield. Solidly built.

This item was very easy to install and holds the GPS perfectly. I did not want a mount that blocked my vision and this puts our unit within reach of both driver and passenger.

This works great with my nuvi 2597. It's easy to tighten to the vent and the gps stays secure. This is a great alternative if you don't want to attach to the windshield.

Easy to install. Watch the video first. It will break the louvres if you attempt to adjust or reposition it with holding the mount from the rear. Neatly holds my Nuvi below the dash, no more spousal compaints about no being able to see.

but doesn't last long. Broke after a few weeks of use.

I like to have no obstruction when Im driving this give me the flexibility to hsve the gps in a place that I xan see it good and keep the windshield free to better view of the road
