Camera is not true 4K glitchy when viewing live view from app through phone spoke to Garmin Customer service been going back-and-forth. When viewing live view through phone is 720 only when you export the video from the Garmin to your phone or to your computer, it is 4K but otherwise it is 720 at best.

This dash cam is one of the more expensive options available at Best Buy. However, for the price, you get a well-sized unit with one of the best user interfaces (UIs) on the market, making for an incredibly simple experience. This is crucial for me because other dash cams I own have overly complex UIs, which make configuration difficult.
Other Pros:
4K Videos: Super clear, with license plates generally readable.
Magnetic Mount: Convenient for use between two cars, with an additional mount for another car.
USB-C Powered: Compatible with my car's USB-C plug. Note that this varies by car, so check if your car's USB-C plug provides power.
Thin Cables: Easier to route for a cleaner install.
Adding a Second Camera: Garmin makes it easy to add another camera. I added a mini 3 as a rear camera, and both cameras are controlled by the Garmin software.
Size: Small and easy to mount on the windshield without being a distraction while driving.
Cons:
Price: Quite steep compared to other cameras with similar capabilities.
Software: While adding an additional camera is slick, the software itself is not great. In my experience, most dash cam software is subpar, so Garmin isn't much different in this regard.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far I love it. The quality exceeds every other camera I have owned in the past. It is expensive, but I am not willing to rely on a cheaper product that can give out or not save an important video during a car accident. I have kids so this gives me a peace of mind every time I drive. Thank you, Garmin you really went the extra mile with this dashcam!

Upgraded to this Garmin from a cheap Aukey. Quality difference is night and day compared to my old one. Love being able to use the garmin app to pull saved videos.
Best one I've used so far. The clarity is amazing.

The clarity of the videos are crazy good. I actually had to give a video of a drunk driver to a cop, and he was even impressed with the clarity. You could see the plates of his truck easily.

Well worth the peace of mind. I know I do my part to drive well, inform to barely others can’t be relied on to their part….. hence, a Garmin dash cam. I love the screen availability (having no screen is a bad idea). I only wish I could use it on a moto!

My only concern is that the garmin box it was delivered in wasnt taped or sealed. But it was delivered in a sealed outer box. Just the garmin box inside wasn’t taped. All in all the stickers and everything was on so i think it was a new product. For the money spent you would think they wpuld tape the product box. The camera itself feels somewhat plastic cheap to be honest. Ps5 dualsense controllers feel better quality. Maybe im being crazy; the camera is smaller so it feels not heavy like they shouldve used better parts but you dont want a heavy camera on your car. Maybe i shouldve got a go pro idk yet. Ill update the more i use

Works great most of the time. There are times that it does not automatically start up with my van. Need to turn it on manually. Also sometimes connecting to it with my phone is a bit of a problem. All in all it works well.
