Climbed My Shasta in July and according to this watch in hike mode my average heart rate was 89 bpm. It continues to have huge discrepancies to this day, just returned from a short but steep urban hike and still having the same issue.

I started a fitness program trying to get back down to my Air Force weight and this is helping and opening up so many options for assessing my health. I love the sleep monitoring function. Gone are the days of dragging through the day and wondering why I am so exhausted. Now I can make adjustments to my nightly routine and see what results in longer or deeper sleep and an energized next day.

This watch is super tough and has a great display. It has more features than I will probably ever use. It syncs well with an iPhone using the Garmin app. It also has quick connect ends on the band to easily change out to a different band if so desired. Garmin has some and others are available on Amazon.
