If you’re looking for the resolution of a new Apple Watch, look elsewhere. It will not blow you away with pixels. With regards to exercise and adventure functionality, it is second to none. Battery life is endless. Rugged and tactical looking.

This watch is not touch screen, but is extremely impressive. After some exploring I find the watch to be rather intuitive. I use the watch with iOS. There are some bugs being worked out with software, but I am impressed. Bought at Black Friday price of $299. Well worth every penny.

Excellent. Everything you’ll want in a smart watch for tracking activities. Excellent when using with Garmin Connect. If you love data, you’ll love this. Durable for use at the gym. Great for distance running. Battery life A+. It’s superior to the Apple Watch in almost every category, except beauty (Apple interface is better, sleek) and weight (this Version is heavy-ish).

My husband liked the look of this which was a big factor, as it's more rugged than some other fitness trackers. He really finds many features useful, such as the GPS for marking fishing spots or tracking runs, and the HR tracker. The best part was the available warranty!

Watch is enormous and might be difficult while sleeping. It is a full feature watch and works w/o phone. All the tracking and sports features are Solid garmin. If you dont mind weighing down your wrist then its a no brainer.

Great multi sport watch, perfect for running, swimming and cycling. I also enjoyed things like sleep tracking, and with its battery life I only charge it once a week!! Sleep tracking is also amazing! Plus elegant to use everywhere.

I bought this for my guide business. It is so accurate. I can't wait to have it fully setup to have it work together with my fish finder. Heart tracking and steps seem to be spot on. I am glad I purchased this watch. This will last me years to come...unless I misplace it.

I switched to the Fenix 5X from an Apple Watch Series 2 and couldn't be happier. Though the Apple Watch worked great as a companion to my iPhone, it under-delivered when used for backcountry hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. If steps and tracking simple workouts with your phone nearby is your main concern, get the sleek Apple Watch. If being outside away from the city is more your style, get the 5X.

I compare all my finess watches functionality/reviews on the motoactv. This watch was released almost 6 years ago but had the most functionality of any watch before or after until now. The only feature still missing is tapping on the display for it to read out your stats while ur working out instead of scrolling through the screens. You can race against previous workouts, track strength workouts, swim, golf and a bunch more. I like that it has gestures so you can raise ur wrist and the light comes on and u can configure this for normal or workouts. I have gotten a solid 8 days of battery life while using it everyday for workouts and getting a lot of notifications. The 1 thing I wish they would add would be a better way to quick reply to text messages. There's an SMS app but it's limited and not streamlined with when u receive a text. If you can afford it and love to workout and track ur stats, then this is the watch 4 u.

Great watch. A year later the battery still lasts through long workouts over many days. I did get it at a greatly reduced Black Fridayish price. It is big on the wrist and heavy but you get used to it

Very well made, as you would expect from a watch of this price range. Love the screen, easy to read time and other parameters without the need of waking it up at any lightning conditions ranging from bright sun and almost to complete darkness. Battery life for a watch that monitors so many parameters constantly is amazing, so far had to charge it only 3 times, still at 70% battery after third charge and am using it for 50 days with more than 20 hours of GPS use in total. It is big and fairly heavy so definitely not a ladies model, but if you have a bigger hand just after 20 minutes of wearing it I stopped noticing it. So far was able to remain scratch free even after few bumps with door frames and other objects including metal. If you are looking for a good activity companion with a stylish look and lots of capabilities and can spend a good chunk of money than this is a great choice.

I'm a cyclist, so I have had many Garmin products that I use. During Christmas, I had the chance to purchase the Fénix 3 for an awesome price at Best Buy. But in January, Garmin announced the release of Fénix 5. I waited until the very last day that I could to return my Fénix 3 to Best Buy in February just to read an excellent review by DC Rainmaker on the Fénix 5x. Well, it's worth it! During the month of January, I got to play around with the Fénix 3 before I returned it, and I'm so happy I got the Fénix 5x instead. Battery life is much longer (almost twice as long). I find the menu system much more intuitive on the Fénix 5. Oh, and the mapping is awesome! Connection to my cell phone is much quicker, and Garmin connect pushes all saved rides immediately. I couldn't be any happier even though it was much more expensive than the great deal I got on the Fénix 3.

By far, is the best smart watch in the market. Connection with IOS and Android works nicely, have more sensors then any other model/brand, battery stands for 2 weeks easily. If you dont care for a fancy HD screen, this is great for you.

I love he battery life on this watch. My only gripe is that the HR doesn’t always pick up my heart. Am I a vampire? But seriously this watch is very useful for staying on track and can help keep you from getting lost

It was a very durable watch and the features are second to none. What beats other smartwatches is its battery that last for a week or more depending on its use.

Been looking at the Fenix watches for quite some time, the early Black Friday deal for $300 finally made me purchase one. The large watch face is very nice, the Connect IQ app allows you to change the face dial per your preference. The battery life seems to be a non issue and it charges very quickly. Had issues it syncing with my phone at first and now has become a non issue.
