This was purchased as a gift to my son. It starts fast, finds a satellite quickly, and gives great directions.

Love the larger screen verses the old one I had. Love that it has a lifetime update on maps. Overall a very good product.

Easy setup, no lag and very updated maps. I've owned a few gps's before but this is by far the easiest to use.

Easy set-up and it works very well. Used it on a trip to Tennessee and it got us to every place we wanted to see.

This GPS has a nice bright, clear display, and is very easy to read and follow thanks to all of the additional information shown when nearing exits and other key points, along with clear vocal directions. The GPS is Bluetooth ready, and you can easily take phone calls through it. Voice command is also a feature - thought it doesn't seem to be able to determine what I am saying 75% of the time. The voice command will recognize saved places, however, along with "popular" destination.

Voice command is a must have. The voice recognition software on this device is flawless and saves tons of time.

This is a great GPS. It's extremely easy to use, detailed and gives you voice prompts exactly when you need them.

It will be a present for the holidays, so we haven't used it yet, but it has the features the user requested.

I was replacing a previous Garmin GPS that still worked OK, but I wanted the new features in the 2589. I particularly like the "Up Ahead" feature that tells ALL upcoming restaurants, gas stations, etc. And the GPS itself is much faster than my previous one. The only criticism that I have is that the screen glares. Maybe if I put a non-glare covering on it, it would be better. But I don't want to take a chance in losing the pinch-to-zoom, swipe, etc. Overall I'm very pleased with the 2589LMT.
