    Decided to try another vendor besides TomTom and this new Garmin is welcomed alternative. The voice control is pretty useful so you can keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, but it sometimes takes a while to initialize on first use, especially in a noisy environment. Free traffic info is also a plus, so overall a great value in a dedicated GPS.

    I had a TomTom prior to this. After 12 months of total frustration, purchased this unit believing it could be no worse, only better. Turns out to be Tons BETTER! Touch screen is very responsive. Menus easy to follow. Easy to set additional waypoints. Downloaded map of Eastern Europe, and travel 9 days in Switzerland with it. Wished I'd spent the extra money last year.

    Made major improvements over the years to this model. We had a very similar model 8 years ago, this model has improved voice directions and very accurate travel information dealing with traffic and places to stop along your route. My only problem is the optional voice control which has never gotten the correct directions yet, so we just type in where you need to go.
