I have been wanting one for years I had one built in car in Florida loved it. Printed out map quest but when there is detour your on your looking for the map. also needed glasses to read map but not to drive. This takes care of every thing. keep map only for back up. have not used outside of country yet.

The unit worked as expected and met my expectations.

The Garmin really helped us in Canada as this wasour first time in PEI, NB, and NS. Saved us a lot of time and frustration working with so many maps. However, wish they would use route numbers instead of street names--we couldn't always find a street sign but the route numbers are always easily found.

This gps unit worked well and was a breeze to use.

The Garmin-nuvi 2589 LMT5 has everything I was looking for in a GPS. It has a large 5" display that is very easy to read. The lifetime traffic and map updates will keep this GPS up to date for years to come. I particularly like the automatic alert/notification when you are approaching a school zone.

Much easier to use than my old Garmin, works great!

The only issue that I have with this product is that the mounting bracket for the window does not work well. It does not seem to stick to the window. The suction cup design does not seem to work well. It only stays on for a few seconds then falls off. Seems as though it cannot hold the weight of the Garmin.

I am very happy with this product. I would always use my phone but was concerned with going over my data so I would constantly exit the app as long as I could. Now I can easily watch where I'm going, which lane I need to be in now, and not be stressed by the time I get to my destination.

Really like this gps. It provides clear directions with views of upcoming exits and lane changes. Voice is easy to understand. Favorite aspects are how additional destinations can be added to original route and it saves recent searches. Makes it easy to find favorite places to shop or eat.

I'm P/O'd about purchase, the next week you sold this for $30 off the price I pd for it, today it is $60 off. Every electronic device purchased in this household and my children's household comes from Best Buy. Hasten S. Sanders

This is my second purchase of a GPS. It has some great features that were not included on my previous one. Offers quick routes around tolls, side view of best lanes to be in, upcoming gas stations and restaurants. Having the lifetime map and traffic updates will be very helpful as well.

My old GPS unit stopped working on a recent trip. I found a Best Buy store along the way and purchased this unit. There is a learning curve between the functionality of the old Garmin I had and this one. Basically the same but the controls are in different places. Very happy overall.

Decent features, good screen, easy to use. But I was disappointed how it favors interstate directions even if you set the quickest route. A 14 hour trip would have been more than 16 hours had I not also used google maps on my phone to back me up

My only minor complaint is it sometimes appear that you are clearly hitting the letter or number you want but the letter on number next to it appears. Maybe just my fat fingers! It would also be nice if you didn't have to go online to read the manual. What happened to manuals coming with the product?

Pretty good, small but with a large enough display to be useful. About the only thing that will get it confused is a dense urban environment, especially if there are detours. And sometimes it takes too long to update and you're past where you should have turned. Other than that it's a good product.

I had a TomTom that decided to quit working after about 3 years. The salesman recommended this one highly so I bought it. It does not give me the option of shortest or fastest route. It also has no problem taking me miles out of the way to get to a destination. I have only had it for 2 months and only experienced one traffic jam on the interstate but there was no notification from the suppossedly free traffic updates. Other than this it is a fairly good unit but I will go back to TomTom when this unit quits.

Clear to read and use. Learning curve a little long

This is my first Garmin GPS after having owned a couple TomTom units. I’m very pleased with its features. Not only are specific turn-by-turn instructions given (with plenty of warning for an upcoming turn), but landmarks are included in the description of what’s up ahead to clarify.

Tried out my new GPS last week end. It worked well to get me where I was going. I liked the speed limit showing on the display. The directions were very clear and I had no difficulties using this. Can't wait to try it out on a longer trip.
