My husband was wanting a GPS for his older vehicle and after researching quite a few different GPS models I sincerely thought this one had the most bang for the buck. I gave it to him for Christmas and he loves it. He used it on his trip to CT to visit his Mom and it never once let him down. We say it's a keeper!

Software is improvement over predecessor Garmin GPS units with exception of acquiring satellites after extended "sleep". Glass is bad about reflective glare (both day and night) but I'm used to it. Bought a second unit so obviously would buy again. Depending on how long the unit is left to "sleep", acquiring satellites may take longer than previous units. Like Fandango function. Touch screen is sensitive so easy to make a typo or premature function selection. Have several Garmins so did not need to read reviews.

We bought 5 of these and they all work great. Everyone loves the Bluetooth feature.

We purchased this GPS for vacation. Easy to use and very accurate. Glad we got it.

Now I don't need to use my phone or risk getting a ticket trying to follow the gps on my phone!!! I love my new Garmin!

I bought this Nuvi to replace an older one and it works great. Haven't had trouble with it and it hasn't gotten me lost. :)

I love this GPS! It always knows the best routes and is very easy to use. I love the options to avoid highways and tolls.

I purchased this Garmin to replace an older model that no longer had had updated maps. It's nice to have up to date maps. It is also nice to be able to use all of the new features, like voice recognition, traffic and indication of which lane to be in to exit a highway. I definitely give this model 5 stars.

Wow, I really enjoy Garmin nuvi 2589LMT 5' I can go to places and not get lost or if I do I can get my way out. It helps save time.

The device is simple to use, accurate and a good value for the price.It is the right size to aid but not distract driving. and one does not have to tear the dashboard apart to repair or replace it. I have not yet found how to 'save' previous addresses in the program as in older devices, but I am sure it is there.

Had a Tom Tom one that just became so old it's obsolete. Purchased this one to replace it. Works great. Fast and accurate. Only complaint is nothing to do with the GPS, I just don't live in an area where the traffic function can be useful. Just be sure to update it when you take it out of the box.

The Garmin nuvi 2589LMT is one of the easiest to use GPS systems out there. It comes with Lifetime Maps and Lifetime Traffic, as well as reroute in case you go the wrong way, it puts you right back on track toward your destination. You have the ability to choose your settings including your vehicle, plan your route, and avoid certain areas. There are far too many features to write about here. All I can say is it's the best money I've ever spent on a GPS device. Lots of features at a great price. If you're researching GPS market, your search stops here. This is the best unit out there.

its a get product easy to use I don't get lost no more and I really like the Bluetooth features mounted in my car

the Garmin is easy to program and easy to read. Very helpful when traveling.
