This is my fifth Garmin GPS. I can say this is the best I ever have. Pros: - Voice Command. I used to think it's a gimmick, but now it proved a very useful feature that I use every day. - Very fast in searching POI. Compared to previous Garmin units I had, the search is way faster (probably did a much better job in indexing) - Screen is very clear Cons: - Sometimes when turning on the car, the GPS screen is totally dark. Clicking on the screen won't help. I had to either unplug the power, or restart the car again. I recently found a "fix", by calling Voice Command, Brightness, then say either 40 or 50. The GPS will change the brightness, then bring back the screen. - Traffic update. Only available at larger cities, and the data is not as accurate as, say, Waze. Overall a very solid unit. If not for the black-screen issue, it will easily get 5 stars from me.

I Love all my Garmin's. This one is not as good as the last one I had but it is a Great..If it had the camera alerts it would be perfect. School zone alerts are not something I find useful but it can't hurt. Voice command works and traffic updates also work.

This was my first time buying a Garmin. I have not had any problems using it.

I think this Garmin - Nuvi 2589LMT is easy to set up and works great on my road trips!

This is a great gps. It has voice command, so you can give it instructions while driving and you don't have to take your hands off the wheel. It also has blue tooth so you can connect it to your cell phone, so you can talk while driving.

adequate screen size, nice sensitive touch, routes calculate quickly, no complaints.

Right time right place. I just happened to catch these on sale and was able to save $70.00 off the original price. This Garmon is voice command operated which is so helpful and very accurate so far. Very happy with the purchase.

I was very cautious was looking to purchase a GPS. I spent a lot of time reviewing Garmin and TomTom. Garmin had more pros then TomTom. Also, at a previous employer I used to Garmin GPS for long distance deliveries; I already knew how well they worked. Tis model is excellent! It is ready to go right out of the box. Unpack it, place the suction cup base to your windshield and plug it in. Set it for US on the main screen,... wait about 1 minute and it slows your location, then type in an address and hit "GO". I chose an address of a nearby mall just to test it. I have already used it on a trip and it works great. I'm very happy with my GPS. NOTE* you can find a manual in PDF format for free online to print out for it that shows how to perform ALL of the options available.
