Most recent of the past 5 GPS, 1 Tom Tom and 4 previous Garmin models Negative...buying the Asia map for $100 was a BIG waste, this was barely helpful while on the Philippine Islands for the month of January, almost all searches returned almost nothing nor showed me the route, but did well in locating where I physically was. Strong Positive (for me)... I use the hands free blue tooth phone feature repeatedly daily, This model has been easier and far more reliable than any prior which I have had. Battery also seems to last longer than prior ones owned. I purchased this just before Xmas 2016.

I bet I like it more when I get time to read the directions and select more options etc. I have only used it a few times. However, I liked it and found it useful--even without reading the directions. Sort of "plug & play" worked out.

I didn't have this unit too long. It worked okay, but I was used to having a red light camera subscription on my old GPS, but this unit is not compatible with these subscriptions. This unit was suggested by a sales rep, so I wrongly assumed it was a current model but it'seems a 2015 unit. Ironically, my older unit fixed itself (started holding a battery charge again) so I returned this unit. If you don't care that it's a 2015 model or that it's not compatible with red light caMera subscriptions, then it's a nice GPS.

This is the second one of these I've purchased. Has lifetime maps and traffic, and is well worth the price. Easy to use and easy to hide in the glove box. Love it!

I never owned a personal gps before so I didn't know what to expect. Although no directions were included I was able to quickly figure it out and begin using immediately. I like that it informs you of the current speed limit and school zones...I would recommend this device.

Took on a few trips and worked fantastic. Alerted of upcoming traffic and accurate to the tee. Very easy to use and helpful finding all locations in several states

This 5" screen GPS has lifetime maps and traffic, great graphics, and automatic detour routing. Also has bluetooth to connect your phone, whch works well and has a clear signal. I bought it to replace a Garmin 40LM, since I needed the traffic advisories for the big East Coast US cities, and have not been disappointed. Also has a a slot for a mini SD card and has the ability to display and store pictures. The regular price is $229, but the price online was $157.99. I see it is now $149.99 on the Best Buy app for Christmas. For me, it was the most for the money. You would not be disappointed.

Love using this - always gets me there. Lots of memory for keeping maps up to date. Bluetooth is a good feature too.

The Garvin has to be the best GPS out there. Easy to use, accurate and I don't think you could ever get lost. And with lifetime maps and traffic how could it be beat?

Out of the box using the Nüvi 2589lmt 5 GPS is intuitive if you have any experience with GPS devices. The voice command capability is helpful, however, you need to adapt to a short vocabulary to get the benefit of hands-free use, Visual roadway display operation is smooth with clear accurate representation. Audible driving cues take away any guesswork where complex navigation is encountered. Bluetooth pairing to my (old) iPhone 4s worked without difficulty and is such a huge assist when handling unexpected calls while on the road. This is my second Garmin GPS, the first one having been commandeered from me by my wife.

GPS has significant flexibility in viewing the screen/locator, location memory capability. Easy updates on maps although can take good amount of time. Search on cities for destinations not near, like other state destinations still somewhat challenging (may be learning curve at this point).

Upgraded to this unit fro my previous Garmin GPS. This one had the additional features that I was looking for and at the time the price was right. Works good

A fair number of good updates vs previous versions. Garmin seems to play spin the wheel on the options for each year. This version is a good blend. The only down side is the screen reflects the light similar to a smartphone.

Great GPS for beginner or replacement model. The blue tooth feature is a great addition to have with gps. Would highly recommend and also easy to use.

A very good gps that is easy to understand and gets loud enough to hear it well. very accurate and you can count on it staying that way with lifetime maps update.

Garmin nuvi 2589LMT 12/27/2015 5.0 stars I purchased as a gift to my son . He has smart phones, but like to go into the mountains in Colorado and often lose connectivity. This will allow him access to maps without needing his cell phone connection. Gives me peace of mind. I selected this particular model based on reviews and customer satisfaction. He uses it all the time and it get him to where he has to go and it saves him from a lot of headaches.

I needed a new Garmin because my old one would not update. This Garmin is beyond what I expected. Super easy to use and the voice command works great!

I like our new GPS but am disappointed with the lack of specific directions for making full use of all the features.

Great GPS with built in bluetooth and it provides accurate traffic updates. I have no issues at the moment and it works great in Canada. Love it.

we are enjoying the product, just love the live traffic update it also alerts you to the school zones. the only hicup is the voice command does not always recognize the things you are saying
