I refused to get a Garmin for the longest time and would use my phone bc it worked much better, but with the improvement of other features on phones the navigation started to lack and not work and I was forced to buy a seperate GPS nvigator... I was very impressed so the quality of the Garmin and the only thing holding back from it getting 5 stars is bluetooth connection or smartlink feature dosnt work very well... Other then that I love it

This GPS unit is really all anyone would need for there everyday use. I bought it for my dad who travels a lot and he loves it and is very easy to we for him. He previously had a garmin as well it was just time for an up grade.

I really like this gps the only thing I have a problem with is the hands free talking device, it doesn't understand what you are saying half the time.

Awesome GPS. Bought it for my mom as a christmas gift and she loves it. Easy to use and came with updates already installed.

Once you get the destination address entered, this unit has great graphics and good information. Spoken directions are sensible and clear. While most of my devices recognize my voice well, this unit has a very difficult time understanding me.

Very easy to use. Lots of features. My friend has a TomTom and I do not like it as good as a Garmin, they are easier to use.

I wasn't sure I wanted anything more expensive than a basic GPS, but boy am I glad that I splurged a little. The screen is easy to see, and I am very happy with the unit. The lifetime updates will make this an even better deal.

This a great navigation device. It has lifetime updates. The Garmin is easy to use. It also responds to voice commands.

Everything works as advertised. We used on a recent long term trip. If driving alone, I would recommend changing the settings to view nearby rest stops, restaurants and gas stations before driving. There is a default safety setting that does not allow you to change settings while driving. We opened the box, plugged it in and started our trip. Basic, easy, start up instructions included. More instructions are on line.

I absolutely love my Garmin GPS. It was so easy to set up and use. I like being able to see the road ahead. Really great!

Would be a five star but the first one we had stopped working after only using it twice. Best But replaced with a new one and this one is working fine. We like the sleeker look on this model and as always garmins are user friendly.

I purchased the Garmin specifically for my trip to Italy. I tested it at home first and it led me completely to the wrong place! In Italy, it generally got us to where we wanted to go, so I can't complain too much; it just seems to work better out of the US than in Florida. I have a TomTom that I use at home, but will continue to try the Garmin and hope that it improves over time. I do have family and friends who swear by the Garmin, I just did not have that great results. On a positive note, the display was easy to read.

I bought this Garmin to replace my old Garmin because the touchscreen was not working correctly. Love the features and ease of use.

I bought this after studying and comparing multiple units to replace an old Garmin Nuvii that was dying. I ran both of them together on a long trip. The new unit still fits into the older holders, but the screen is larger and brighter, clearer and easier to read. The voice prompts are nice but it would be nicer to have the ability to enter addresses by voice. The oddity is that this unit displays a longer time to reach locations than my old unit, then gradually changes to meet the older units time. AI learning?

Very easy to set up. Just took a few minuets and I was able to use it. The Bluetooth is great and the app is even better.

The Garmin 2589LMT is a great GPS to own. It is fast and accurate. The setup and initial programming of locations was easy. Using the voice commands while on a 2500 mile road trip worked very well... especially with traffic delays where you can tell it to find a detour. The only drawback I have found is that the screen is reflective and can be hard to see when the sunlight hits it or when headlights hit it at night. The problem can be overcome by tilting the unit slightly.

Love the traffic updates and where delays are. Easy to update and see the screen.

I love this GPS. I bought it for the LMT but no where on the box does it indicate you must purchase a separate power cable that has the traffic capabilities. After a couple weeks of use i started getting a pop up message every now and then stating the traffic would not work until i connected the traffic receiver cable. This cable is about $70 and must be purchased from Garmin as i haven't seen it carried anywhere else. Had i known this on the front end i may have purchased a different model.

This is a great GPS unit. I tend to use my Google Maps on my phone but Google Maps does not have all of the features at this GPS unit has like speed limit, elevation, speed, direction of travel.

I have always preferred Garmin over other brands. The free map upgrades for life is just another plus to an already good product!
