Sadly, my old Forerunner 235 gave up the ghost. During the years we were together, it apparently became a crime to have a simple B&W face on a watch that reliably tracks your run, links to a heart monitor, draws a map, and maybe alerts you to a text on your phone. The 165 is lovely and feels great and works great. But do I really need to see the time of day outlined in neon green and blue? Do I really need my total miles for the week listed right there above the time of day? Are there actually people who stress over their "Avg vertical ratio," "Avg vertical oscillation" and "Est Sweat Loss"? Does my watch really care how I feel (it honestly asks that!) after a run? How does it THINK I feel? I feel tired, because I just ran. What the heck is my "Body Battery"? And I'm not in kindergarten, so I don't need that gold trophy after a new "record." I've spent my first few days busily disabling features. The 165 GPS links quicker than my 235, it has a more solid connection to my heart monitor. It feels great. I think I'll learn to love it. But I sure do miss that old 235.

Love it, better than apple watch for runs. Never have to charge it.

My husband absolutely loves this watch! I got it for him as an anniversary gift. He swims, cycles and runs. He says that it is perfect for all his activities and syncs up with his Garmin and Strava apps.

I love the size and weight for my wrists that are on the smaller size. Quality still remains to be seen but it is good ol' Garmin quality based on first impressions.

A device that, despite being an entry-level device, has all the features a runner needs. Battery life is a plus for the product.

This watch initially caught my eye due to the battery life. However, it has drastically contributed to my fitness goals and overall health. The health insights it provides are far more intuitive then my previous watch- which makes sense. This is a fitness tracker where my other watch was a smart watch, so they are obviously built to do different things. Besides the battery life, my favorite feature of this watch is that adjusts to you. Meaning if I’m having a less active week then I typically would and my step count is down, the watch will adjust my step goal accordingly BY ITSELF. So it may not be classified as a “smart watch” but it is far more smart than any watch I’ve ever owned!

Perfect for what I needed tracks my runs, rides and workouts. No out going texting or phone calls on the watch so less distractions.

I love my Garmin watch. It has a lot of useful metrics that help me improve my overall physical and mental health!

Perfect for what my husband needed. The battery stays charged for a really long time and the stats it keeps track of are really informative. The only negative is that this watch isn’t offered with a sapphire crystal watch face to keep it from being scratched but you can get screen protectors.

Fits well. Has the best battery life ive ever seen in a smart watch. The screen glass is durable. I have nothing bad to say

I made the switch from always having an Apple Watch to a garmin. This watch tracks runs better and more accurate. Im still able to get all my notifications like I would with my Apple Watch. Only difference I can’t reply through the watch. However, I am still satisfied with my garmin!

I purchased this for my teenage son in Cross Country sports program and he loves using it for his health and sports fitness. The charge and batter time is great. Perfect for younger athlete.

This was a gift and he love it. It has all the gadgets he was hoping to get in a watch and more!

Great watch, I really enjoy the battery life and that I only have to charge once every 2 weeks.
