Great running watch! Absolutely love the tracking information for running. The phone notifications and apps are not up to smartwatch standards but they are still useful while being active. The app store is VERY limited, mostly just focused on music, see attached screenshot.

Terrible battery life. After a software update the battery dies within hours.
I have done multiple hard reset and it has not helped. Garmin's solution is to turn off Bluetooth which defeats the purpose of a smartwatch.
I regret my decision of changing from my fenix 5s to this one.
Only reason I changed was to be able to talk on it and half of the time it doesn't work!

What can i say this watch is great. The gps works great on the trails. Heart rate, body battery, and sleep apps all work perfect. My watch is a big part of my workouts and coming from the Samsung active models this was a huge improvement as far as durability and function during sweaty times. Works great in the water as you're still able to use all functions. Battery life is amazing coming from my last brand. I usually charge this one once a week as with the other it was daily. The only thing i miss is the talk to text function which is great but i've learned easily to live without it. I could go on and on but lets face it this is just a review from a random buyer. So go try it for yourself and you wont be disappointed.

Switched from Galaxy Watch4 Classic

I moved over to the Garmin Venu 2 Plus from my Galaxy Watch4 Classic, as I was using the Galaxy Watch and a Whoop band, which made me look like a Power Ranger. I wanted to move over to one device that could satisfy both workout/watch needs. I wasn't the biggest fan of Samsung Health nor Google Fit (I'm a bit of a fitness junkie) because it didn't give the level of granularity that I was looking for, but for casual use, I'm sure the Galaxy Watch would be more than enough.
Obviously with the move, I lost the Samsung store, OS Wear and LTE, but honestly, I wasn't using the store often and really didn't need an LTE connection as my phone is with me 99% of the time. When I don't have my phone on me, I'm either out on a run and need GPS to track my run, which the Garmin can do without being connected to a device, so it's honestly a non-issue for me.
I will say, the battery life on the Watch 4 is pretty decent. I used the always on display and regularly got 1.5 to 2 days of life, which was sufficient for my needs (since I was using my WHOOP for sleep tracking), but the Garmin battery is out of this world.... I charged it last Monday and didn't take it off of my wrist until Wednesday to charge (9 days) and I could have very likely squeaked out another day before it died.
So, with all of that said, the Garmin battery is good enough for sleep tracking, workouts, etc, so I've parted ways with the WHOOP band and my Power Ranger days. :) And to add, it's incredibly lightweight!!
I don't miss my Galaxy Watch AT ALL... no regrets.

I am absolutely enamored with my Garmin Venu 2 Plus! This exceptional smartwatch has seamlessly integrated into my daily life, and I can't help but rave about its numerous features. The stunning AMOLED display is a visual delight, bringing clarity and vibrancy to every interaction. What truly sets it apart is the comprehensive health and fitness tracking—its ability to monitor everything from sleep metrics to on-device workouts makes it an invaluable companion for anyone pursuing an active lifestyle.
The inclusion of built-in GPS has been a game-changer during my workouts, providing precise tracking without the need for my phone. And let's talk about the joy of streaming music directly from the watch—complete freedom from carrying a phone while exercising is a game-changer. The Garmin Venu 2 Plus isn't just a smartwatch; it's a fitness powerhouse that goes beyond expectations.
Moreover, the sleek design adds a touch of elegance to my wrist, making it not just a tech gadget but a style statement. I appreciate the attention to detail in the craftsmanship, which is evident in every aspect of the watch.
Battery life is often a concern with smartwatches, but the Venu 2 Plus impresses with its longevity. I can confidently rely on it throughout the day, whether I'm tracking my workouts, receiving notifications, or simply enjoying the myriad of watch faces available.
In conclusion, if you're in the market for a smartwatch that seamlessly blends style with functionality, elevates your fitness tracking, and enhances your overall well-being, the Garmin Venu 2 Plus is an outstanding choice. It's more than just a device; it's a delightful daily companion that I can't imagine my routine without.

Awesome watch! I got this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. It's pricey but it's worth every penny. He can listen to music at the gym with his wireless headphones, receive phone call and texts. He wears it to work in the mines where its wet and he bangs his arm alot while there and it's held up nicely. I would 100% recommend this watch.

Way better than any Fitbit you’ll find. I went through 2 HR Charge, another square one (forgot the name) and a Charge 3. ALL of them either just stopped working or stopped tracking. And no, I didn’t get them wet or abuse them.
Now to the Venu 2 Plus, amazing battery life (7-10 days), comfortable, stylish, tracks what I wan tracked. The only downside is I cannot add food eaten/calories like I did for my Fitbit.

I really like this watch. The ability to take phone calls is a nice feature. The fact that I can get an ECG on my watch is an invaluable feature right now.
As far as battery life, that depends on your usage. I usually get anywhere from 7 days or more based on my usage. I know they say you can get up to 11. I haven't reached that yet. But I use my watch heavily.
The display is nice. The setup is easy. I do recommend this.

I love this watch and garmin definitely takes care of its customers. I had an issue with my watch, and they happily reached out to assist, sent a replacement and bands as well. Best Buy is also awesome as they confirmed that the warranty i purchased would transfer to the replacement watch. The watch it self is awesome, the only thing id siffest is that they add a temperature reader to it! I love my venu 2 plus!

The Venu2 Plus has advanced health and fitness tracking capabilities. It tracks activities hiking, cycling, swimming, and yoga, and provides detailed metrics such as heart rate, distance, and calories burned. The watch also measures sleep patterns and offers guided breathing activities to help you relax and unwind. I love the way it looks and how easy it is to use day to day.

Very pleased with this device. The GPS is accurate, the battery life is good, the screen is clear bright and crisp. Being able to take a call on a Garmin device is wonderful, and google assistant works well. I switch between the Venu 2 and Epix 2 quite a bit. The Epix is more feature packed but more cumbersome. I use the Venu for days I must go into the office or wear a suit, but still want my Garmin on. It's a great everyday device, but it's still a dedicated fitness device vs a smartwatch.

Overall decent watch but lacks the training capabilities of nicer garmin watches. Missing several key measurements to track training over time that I wish I had known before purchase. Battery life is great. Screen and colors are very clear and nice but recommend a screen cover because the screen does scratch easily. The music capabilities and ability to find my phone and answer calls/texts is very helpful.

Garmin makes an amazing watch for fitness tracking. Although there are not as many features as an Apple or Samsung watch, this watch really excels in the features it does have. The HR seems to be the most accurate of any tracker I've had and the GPS is great for tracking running and/or biking.

Love my Garmin Venu 2 Plus (and the Connect app). My only comparison is my wife has a Samsung watch and I think my Venu 2 Plus is superior in dozens of ways. Imo one of the best things is the battery life; I can charge it from like 5% up to 100% in no time and then go 4+ days on that charge and that's with Bluetooth on 24/7, display brightness high, etc. Display and watch face options and customization are extensive and easy. You can track anything and everything you want to on this thing and can customize it to focus on KPIs and data that are important to you. I mean it. A lot of interesting features and apps; I just took an ECG reading. Oh, and it looks cool as a watch with a classic kind of design. It's now a key part of my daily routine. I track my hydration with simple touch to log an 8oz drink, I track my daily weigh in, I watch my sleep patterns and how that's impacting everything, I watch my heart data and look for abnormalities of any kind, I teach stationary cycling routine (with Bluetooth connection to my bike.. sweet), walking with my wife, weight training, and swimming. 5 stars from me.

Great watch! For someone like me, older, not an athlete, but wanting to get healthier this watch is perfect! Love the GPS feature to track my walks with my dog. ECG option is great and very useful too! Watch notifications for apps are helpful and the screen is easier to see than my last Garmin. All in all this really fits the bill! I did add a TPU cover to protect against bumps and bangs.

After having my previous Garmin watch for 5 years I was due for an upgrade. I was initially looking for another hybrid watch (I had a Vivomove) but settled on the Venu. What a great choice it was. The battery life is great and the Venu offers many more features I love, which I wouldn’t get with the Vivomove.
