Excellent watch, with many functions. The GPS can be a little slow sometimes.

I wanted a watch that had good fitness tracking and would notify me when I got text messages and emails, and this watch does that. Pros The GPS is reasonably accurate. It is much better than my old Fitbit Ionic. It is a solid watch. With all of that glass, I did put a screen protector on it. As a first attempt at an OLED watch, Garmin did a decent job. The screen is very bright and I have absolutely no problem seeing it, even in bright, direct sunlight. It's stylish. It's a bit on the bulky side, but it does look good. It fits decently, even on my more slender wrist. The battery life is reasonably good. No complaints with it. Charging is easy. The Fitbit Ionic that I had before this had a magnetic charger that got worse with time. The charging cable for the Venu plugs in with a satisfying and solid click. I like the touch screen. Some might not. It is better than having to press buttons for every single thing. Cons Whenever Garmin updates firmware, they generally break more than they fix. And I thought that Fitbit was bad with updates. Fibit makes Garmin look like total clowns on the software side. Watch is slow to wake when turning my wrist. This is a very common complaint. It's not a problem with the default watch faces, but most people, myself included, think that their stock watch faces are pretty bad. Setup and menus are amazingly terrible. It is difficult to tell what's only on the watch, what's only on the phone, and what's on both. The manual can be downloaded from Garmin. Keep a copy of it handy because you'll need it many times. Even though this watch is OLED, it has the exact same screens and menus as their transreflective screen watches like the Vivoactive 4. Garmin does not take advantage of the OLED tech they've included in any way at all. Some third party watch faces do use it. For me, the built in HR sensor has been bad. It is pretty inaccurate at times. If you are seriously into exercise, you can connect a chest strap to it. Definitely do that. It is not a bad fitness watch. It really is one of the better watches I've had. I gave the Fenix a try, but it had too much that I would never use to justify the price. In the end, I settled on this because I will never have another Fitbit watch (Ionic was terrible) and the price point was right for what I needed out of a watch.

I am using it for over a month now and totally happy with this watch. great for all sorts of activities indoor-outdoor etc. music works great on the watch. the battery goes over four days with normal use and charges quite fast. a bit clumsy to understand the setting initially but once you get used to it no problem. the only problem I experienced is having very few watches faces available from Garmin and a third-party watch faces are not compatible with a stay on screen. An overall great fitness watch.

Heart rate is not very accurate to be honest. Size of watch is too small.

Love my new Garmin watch! Had a Fitbit previously, but this tracks your exercise in many more ways. Very happy with it.

On sale, nice upgrade from the Garmin vivoactive music. Good battery life, bright display.

I bought this watch to monitor my heart and oxygen. I does an excellent job in keeping my health history and instant feedback. The watch is much more and the tie to my phone keeps me advised to communications sent to me by providing a visual cue that a transmission has been made. There our other features that I have as yet not enabled with supportive apps.

I have had the Garmin Venu for about a month now and I continue to discover and experiment with what it can do. Prior to this I had, and still use Vivosmart HR, and the Venu not only replicates the Vivosmart's features, but has improved on them. The HR is more accurate and with GPS enabled, the distance covered on foot is more accurate. I have found the Body Battery feature to be informative and is great at encouraging me to gauge how rested I am and how intense my next workout should be. Yesterday I used a guided/animated yoga workout for the first time and I already know that I will be introducing yoga to my routine from now on. The watch band is comfortable, the buttons are easy to press, but the touch screen can have a slight delay. If you're used to a smartphone you will notice this delay right away, but will become accustomed to it. The OLED display is fantastic and that advertised battery life has been spot on! Garmin should really expand the watch faces that are available in IQ though. And please remember, this is a fitness watch first, a smartwatch second. If you're not into fitness, this may not be the watch for you. I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to trying even more workouts on my Venu. (I still use the Vivosmart for cycling, though. If I go down on my bike I don't want to ruin the Venu).

Branched out to a Garmin after I broke my Apple Watch. It does all you need, but it’s not a very user friendly interface in my opinion. Love the battery life though, only need to charge it once or twice a week max and charging is very fast.

This is the best smart watch I’ve ever had. Not only does it look nice, it’s comfortable to the point I forget I’m wearing it. It’s easy to sleep in. This watch is easy to use and understand. I use it for my rowing workouts and with two clicks I’m ready to go. It works great with my iPhone 13 pro max. This watch is also easy to read. I can see me having this one for a long time.

I bought this so I can count my steps. I really like it since it is very customizable to what I wanted it for. The method to change the face plates by linking it to my computer instead of my phone is my only issue. I got it to work, but it was not as straight forward as I wish it was. Overall it is a great watch.

The functions and accuracy of the Venu have definitely impressed me. I will not go back to a Fitbit and I have had several equivalent Tidbits with each failing shortly after the warranty expired. A huge advantage of the Venu in my mind is the ability to replace the wrist strap with any standard watch rather than the proprietary expensive Fitbit bands!

This has really worked out for my needs. I do not use all its capacity: i.e., I do not use it for phone calls or music. I exercise regularly, walk a lot too. It is easy to set up to move from one type of exercise to another (run/walk/bicycle, et cetera). Upon the onset of Covid-19, I was very happy to find it constantly monitored blood oxygen content (one of the first indicators of Covid-19 infection is a decrease of blood oxygen levels).

Loved it, the only reason I returned it was because I couldn't answer notifications or calls which I was so used to with my previous watch. If that's not a issue for you, go for it. Works amazing, the app was my favorite, you get sooooo much useful data from your workouts, sleep, health in general. This color in particular is really nice, looks more expensive than it is and I got many compliments.

I've been a Garmin fan for several years, and owned a few of their bands and smart watches. What I've always loved is: the build quality, the functionality and the Garmin Connect app! What was always lacking is: aesthetics & screen quality. The latter has been improving lately, especially in vivomove and the vivoactive watch series. But the graphics' quality was still very disappointing, considering that Samsung, Apple and Fitbit have been offering superb, crispy screens for years. Until this Garmin model. I just bought Garmin Vivoactive 4s in January, and had to forgive the outdated looking graphics for the sake of other features I love in Garmin products. Also, when the watch was off, it was a very cool looking watch. I must say, that Garmin Vivoactive 4 pictures look deceiving on all websites where this wathc is sold, i.e. the real screen looks much duller and is noticeably pixelated. But the Venu description is accurate. I was thrilled when I turned it on and saw these beautiful colors and crispiness! It is 10 steps up compared to all other models, and I was so pleased that now, everything is perfect in my fitness - smart - watch. Dealing with watch faces has significantly improved as well. Before, installing the 3d party watch faces from Garmin IQ app was a nightmare. So frustrating and glitchy, that you just end up using a preinstalled watch face...Now, I was able to install all watch faces I like and switch between them (it's still not as smooth as on a Samsung or Apple watch, but you can do it now). I hope to use & enjoy this watch for a long time and, kudos Garmin on a fantastic product!:)
