Normally Great Products, But THIS Time..

I called Garmin for support and was informed that, because my skin tone is darker, the LEDs have problems reading through my complexion for an accurate reading. Back to the store THIS thing goes!

Cool device, but not for me

To see your results you had to keep checking your phone. And when out of the range of your phone it kept buzzing to let you know. ( If you went out the door of the house to the mail box it would buzz).

I wanted so much to like the vivosmart 4. However, the temperature is constantly showing 73 degree, when the actual temp was 80. I made sure that my iPhone has the latest iOS (14.4.2) and the vivosmart 4 also has the latest update. I also made sure that the vivosmart 4 uses my iPhone's location. I un-paired the vivosmart 4 and then re-paired it with my iPhone. I uninstalled the Garmin app and reinstalled it on the iPhone. It doesn't matter - the temperature is always 73 degree, all day, every day. How can I trust this device when it can't even show the weather temperature correctly? After 2 days of trying to get it working, I finally returned it and bought an Apple Watch.

The 3 was easier to read - the print was wider. The 3 showed the time and number of steps at the same time. The 4 (and honestly all the new step tracking watches) require weekly charging.

Posted .The vivofit 3 was a consumer user replaceable battery. The vivosmart 3 would have needed to be charged every 5 days or so. The vivosmart 4 may need to be charged every 5-7 days. Please keep in mind using some of the functions will deplete the battery faster.

I did a 3.5 mile incline walk on the treadmill and it only counted 4000 steps and I made sure to keep my arms in a stride. The thing said that during the walk my avg heart rate was 98 but it was much higher. The treadmill fluctuated from 150-170 bpm. The watch also way overestimated your calories. The stress indicator and body battery are cool but I don’t trust them because of how bad it is at tracking everything else. I wish I could return this!
