Great deal on microwave still running strong love the stainless steel

I will be returning this microwave. It has several defects due to poor build quality. Most notably, the door becomes jammed constantly. It seems to have some sort of locking mechanism that gets stuck and must be pride open after each use. There is no way that this microwave will make it past the warranty., So I am returning it immediately while the return window is open with Best Buy. It also does not let you easily select more than six minutes for a cook time.
We are sorry to hear you've had these issues with the door latch. This is not what we expect to hear, and we will share this with our teams. In regard to the Express Cook Features, this model has 1-6 minutes listed. If you want to cook for 7 minutes you and either press the Time Cook and enter 700 for 7 minutes and then press start or you can select the Express Cook 6 and then press add 30 seconds twice. It is our hope this model has been exchanged for you and your new microwave is working well.

disappointed not just in the microwave

stopped working after not even less than two months. tried returning it at the store (looked up if it was possible to return online purchases instore and it is) but the worker was down right rude and told me that they won't accept it even when the same microwave was on display? like just say you didn't want to do your job but don't waste my time like that.... i won't be buying in best buy for a while. really disappointed in their customer service. if you're thinking about making an online purchase and wanna make a return instore, don't waste your time, you'll probably end up in the same situation as me.

If the unit isn't coming on at all, we recommend disconnecting the microwave from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the components and can often resolve an issue. Troubleshooting tips are available on page 14 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product's page. If you aren't able to solve your situation with troubleshooting, information on taking advantage of the warranty is available on page 15. Making loud sounds

Not happy with the product, it making loud clinking sound while in use. Seems the motor which is spinning the plate is having some issue. I'll return this product.
We are happy to provide guidance with this microwave. The clinking sound that you are experiencing is considered a normal operating sound, and we advise taking advantage of your limited warranty. Your warranty details are located at the end of your Owner's Manual. You can view the Owner's Manual by clicking the ‘From the Manufacturer’ tab and scrolling all the way down on the page, you will see a link that says Use and Care Manual.

Keeps turning off by itself

Mine keeps turning off randomly. Ichecked my outlet or my circuit breakers it was not the problem. it was just a microwave problem.

disappointing countertop microwave.

Microwave is very noisy while cooking food. Very loud humming sounds. Glass window in the front steams up inside, making it impossible to see food in the oven.

We would like to provide some guidance and suggest reviewing your use and care manual (page 14) on the website to make sure the noise you’re hearing is a normal sound coming from your unit. It does not cook as fast as other microwaves I have used.

Not of a fan of this model. It automatically locks the door.

very disappointed that my reward points were not used for this purchase. we spent a hour in the store and were told that my points would be used. i just received the bill. no points used or even posted on my account. poor company support.
Thanks for reaching out to us. You can disable the Child Resistant Door Operation if you should chose to do so. 1. Press and hold the “7” key for 3-5 seconds or until you hear a beep. Release. 2. Press the “9” key. Release. 3. Press the “0” key. Release. There will be two shorts beeps and the display will flash "UnLo" to confirm the default condition has been updated successfully. You will no longer need to press Clear/Off to open the door at the end of a cooking cycle. -Vikki@GEAppliances
