Stopped working in 2 months

Rust in less than a year

I also don't like the feature of unlocking the microwave first once it stopped instead of being able to open right away. After 2 months of using it, there are no under identified issues with this product.

Posted .If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Posted .We are sorry to hear your microwave is loud. We recommend making sure your turntable is seated properly and not loose and causing the noise. We recommend reviewing the manual for tips on how to use your microwave. If you are cooking for a short period of time and just reheating, you may want to press the 30 second button several times. This makes it very quick and does a great job. It is our hope the more you use the microwave the more you will like it.

I have always had GE microwaves and I wanted the same one since it was the perfect size for my counter. We brought it home and couldn’t believe how cheap it’s made now. To the point that it’s a safety hazard because the entire microwave slides when it’s opened. The top of the microwave is basically a piece of tin that bounces when touched. We returned it and purchased a Sharp microwave. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it.

Avoid at all cost

The MIcrowave worked for four months and then started making phantom noises from the rotating wheel. After sending it to the Best Buy service center, and the problem still hadn't been resolved, the store manager (Arthor) decided to replace it instead of making me deal with the manufacturer. That's old-school first-class service. I wouldn't recommend buying this microwave.

Never worked straight out of the box (was replacing a similar microwave; this one wouldn't heat and the top buttons wouldn't press). The Best Buy 2-week return policy is so awful that by the time we figured out it didn't work it was too late to return it. Would think twice before buying this, and if you still want it, don't get it from Best Buy.

Damage item on brand new box

When I picked up the microwave, the box appeared to be damaged, but the employee assured me that it was brand new. However, when it is opened two weeks later, there is a large warp on both the side and the top of the microwave. Since it was a gift, it was extremely embarrassing when the recipient pointed out the warp.

Posted .We'd like to address any issue you're having with sound. We have information regarding sounds you may hear from the microwave in articles on our GE Appliances website, titled "Microwave - Normal Operational Characteristics" and "Microwave - Arcing or Making Sounds"; those can be viewed when you look up the titles and click the Support tab. Among other expected sounds, you may hear thumping, humming, etc. If you're concerned the sound you're hearing isn't normal, we recommend getting in touch with our warranty team using the information on page 15 of the manual. The manual can be viewed on the Best Buy product page when you click the Features section and scroll to the bottom.
