    I bought it two months ago. Suddenly it started crashing. When I click on defrost it starts heating instead of defrosting. Luckily I bought insurance on it. I went back and exchanged it for a new one.

    We purchased this microwave from Best Buy local store on 12/28/2017. It went well for the first month, but had to stop working all of a sudden for no reason at all as it just passed the 30-day return window so Best Buy wouldn't do a return or exchange for us. Then this microwave went back to be functional again for no reason at all. That continued for about another month until it started to generate a burning smell from its interior every time when it was heating. We contacted GE customer service and they were willing to process a certificate which values a little more than the microwave costs to let us purchase a brand new GE microwave.
