    We got the microwave delivered and it is defective. Makes a huge racket when it is running. Something is wrong , maybe motor. Tried to call BB but never had any one answer phone to describe our issues. Can't take it back. We disputed the charges on our card and will not pay for this.

    It worked for less than 6 months, then died. There was no warning, and no symptoms, except it completely stopped heating. The power is on, the lights are working, it spins around, and makes the usual humming sound, but it does not heat at all. Will be asking GE to honor warranty.

    Straight out of the box this unit was broken.

    Right out of the box this microwave was defective. The cooling fan did not function so after running 4 1/2 minutes the oven would overheat and shut down. We exchanged it for an identical unit at another store and it was also defective with the same problem. Both had a manufacturing date of May 2020. At least returning it was hassle free.

    Generate a Bad Small after a Month

    This microwave would have been a very good product if it wasn't defected and generating a bad burning smell only after being used for a little over a month. Luckily, we received a better replacement from GE customer services later, so this is a two-star rating instead of just one star.

    Good little microwave that fit perfectly in the wall recess in our kitchen, would’ve liked a slightly bigger one but were limited in size options.

    First one lasted about 2 months. 2nd one going on 3 months so far. Reimbursed by age for after I replaced it. Kind of a hassle though to go through their hoops.

    ELECTRICAL ISSUE - return for credit

    Last month, this new unit replaced the 1 year-old unit that had electrical problems (same model) under warranty. Same models, same electrical problems, different lot codes. Also, warranty issue took 6 months.

    Microwave was GREAT for 3-1/2 weeks. Then returned it to the store since I had ordered it online and just happened to be 31 days after receiving it so they won't replace it and I have to send it back to GE. Bad product and HORRIBLE store practices.

    Seemed to work OK, but after two months stopped working completely. It is under the 1-year factory warranty, so we called GE and made an appointment for service; first available appointment was a week away. I assume they will repair or replace it, but this is disappointing.

    Had for 2yrs and started cutting off while heating the timer would keep going. I would open the door let the steam out then the light would cut back on and work for another minute and then the same thing would happen until it just stopped working all together.

    DO NOT BUY A GE MICROWAVE or any of their appliances. They are the worst!! I returned 4 microwaves within 2 years. The first 2 started to smell like burning plastic and the third just stopped working after one month. The fourth one I switched to the more expensive black model and that one began to stop while heating food. It would start then stop. Fortunately, I purchased the Geek Squad Protection plan and was able to exchange easily each time. What I didn’t realize is that I could buy any product with the warranty. This time I purchased a Panasonic. I will NEVER buy GE again, and neither should you!

    I bought this microwave in June, by Sept it smelt like burning wires. I went through the laborious process with GE and decided to buy the same one again (how could it happen again). Bought this one is Oct by Dec it was smelling like burning again. Do not buy this and GE has a horrible warranty process the forces you to buy another crappy GE product. I am disgusted with GE to be honest. I won't buy another one.
