This is a poorly constructed microwave. The metal is thin and it warms when used for more than warming. The heat is not consistent.

I am so unhappy with this microwave . I just bought it in April of this year and now June it no longer works . The motor that spins the plate stoped rotating and makes a weird noise . Since it’s passed 15 days of initial purchase I can’t return to the store . I called General Electric and their associate put me on hold for 2 hours to only hang up . I didn’t buy insurance on the product but come on it should last more than 2 months .

Ge microwave meets the size and watts, 1st lasted 2 years, 2nd 5 months, this one 31 days. just turned off.

We do not like this microwave. It does not heat food well and takes longer. It was bought to replace another GE microwave that stopped working after 6 months. That microwave was bought to also replace another GE microwave that died after 6 months use. We only re bought GE microwaves because the company gave us credit for a new one. I would never again buy another GE microwave

Bought this microwave about 9 months ago. No complaints until it entirely stopped functioning today. Preliminary troubleshooting indicates my time would be served best by purchasing a replacement appliance.

I got the microwave earlier this year. At first, it worked great. Then I started smelling odors like it was burning, and the more I used it, the stronger the odors got. Then this past Sunday it stopped working. And GE had the nerve to ask me to pay $118.00 to have service done on this microwave. NO WAY DO I EVER BUY A GE PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!! Mind you that it is STILL under warranty. So they make products that break down after seven months? A one-star rating is too good for this piece of garbage. I finally put it out on the street, let the rats and the raccoons try to fix it.

Had a burning smell or some sort after initial use. Returned.

I really like the features of this microwave. However, after 2 months the unit stopped working. No display or power. Needs to last longer than 2 months.

Pro: Hubby and I really like the 5 minute reminder when it has shut off. The size is great for 2.But holds fairly lg casseroles also. Power level is great. Con: The door is VERY cheaply made ..worst of any micro we looked at.. it is noisy when it is running..more so than most. Finale: at 10 months, we are smelling what we think is burning wires, so taking back for a replacement..still, micro suits us better than any other we can find..and B B is great to deal with..we did buy extended warranty, thankfully.

Ordered online for pickup in store as it was not in stock at store, picked up from store and unpacked it was severally damaged and dented, box was damaged as well, returned and requested refund.

The microwave we had which just died yesterday was a 900W GE compact turntable microwave from 1993. YES, we could not believe it lasted this long either and everything had still worked on it. Comparing wattage and similar features we chose to stick with this mid-size model but still a GE due to the reliability of all my GE appliances. This one has the features we required: at least 1000W, a turntable, interior light, full digital panel options, and left swinging door. It is slightly larger than the compact but still fits in the same counter space. Works great. Medium potato in 5 minutes; half a spaghetti squash in 10 minutes. Yes, there is that new appliance smell but it is fading and you CANNOT taste it in your food. very happy.

This is exactly like our old microwave which died and that is why we bought it. We really like the features (add 30 sec, push a number for that number or minutes), but we did notice that even though this has the same rating and is the same model as our old one, it is NOT as powerful and takes a bit longer to do what the old one did. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I had to exchange three times .currently waiting on a replacement from GE.

Replacement for the same model which produced an odd odor, like melting rubber. Now this one does the same.

6 months old and afraid to use it cuz it smells like an electrical fire.

The roomy microwave oven is exactly what we wanted to replace our old broken one. Controls are more flexible in this modern design. Item was received in good condition and on schedule. We are pleased.

Nice microwave tor the price. And I like the bright white look. The number area is a little small but works well.

Just the right size for the cutout in my cabinet. Easy to use. 1100 watts which most frozen dinners are cooked.
