I loved this microwave when I first got it. Cooked well, attractive looking (relatively speaking), handy +30 second button. It was all well and good until two weeks into use when I started to smell a burning scent every time I heated food. Then, after using it for almost 30 days on the dot, it stopped working right in the middle of heating. Best Buy has a return policy of 15 days (what?!), but I decided to call customer service anyway. I was advised over the phone by a Best Buy representative that even though it was outside of the return window, to bring the microwave to a Best Buy location and trade it in as part of their “trade in policy.” Well, I drove 40 minutes to their Simsbury, CT location to do just that... and was told by a “manager” that “I don’t know who you spoke to, but we don’t do that.” They then outright refused to dispose of the microwave for me, so I had to schlep all the way back home with it in my trunk. Side note: in the meantime, I was desperate and purchased a new microwave of a different brand from Best Buy, and it came without an essential part and could not be used. Nevertheless, I will never, ever purchase from Best Buy again. Awful customer service and extremely unhelpful. I am still without a microwave.

This is my favorite microwave. This is my second one, and I'm so glad I could replace it with the exact same one I had before. It is the right size for me. It cooks well, and I like the price.

This is my third microwave in a month. It is nearly impossible to go into any store and find an array of microwaves that you can actually touch and see how they work. They are mostly in boxes that won't be opened unless you purchase them. The only brand I found that were on the shelf were shell mock-ups that didn't function, so you could not actually test them. I read the specs and the reviews and, even, the question and answers, and this unit seemed like it finally filled all my requirements. Upon taking it out of the box, however, I found the glass turntable was lighter weight and the little wheelie that turns it was, also, lighter and flimsier. The kicker is the door is even thinner and the latch button flimsier and if you close the door by the bottom corner, the top corner doesn't close. It's that light weight. I'm still searching and the jury is out whether I will keep this or not. I'm getting tired of lugging these things in and out of my apartment.

We purchased this on Dec 1, 2018. It worked great, no cold spots, fast, efficient. For a family of just 2 adults, it did what it was supposed to do very well. It started malfunctioning in Feb 2023. We set the time and pushed start, the timer started, the cooking didn't. We found if we played with the door release, it will come on. I don't know how much longer we will be able to safely use this, but I don't think much longer. I'm not sure how long the manufacturer intended this type of appliance should last, (from what we've read, it should be 7 years), but our previous microwave lasted over 12 years. I guess the old saying is true, "They don't make them like they used to!" For the price, 4 years isn't great, but considering the warranty is only 1 year, apparently GE doesn't have much faith in what they make either. Sad.

So used to it by now. This is the 4th one in 16 years. Have limited space and this one just fits size wise.

This is a good size unit and a replacement for the same model that lasted 15 years.

This is 7th(yes 7) since Dec. 2017 which has failed. no 6 lasted 28 days. This one did not come on, right out of the box. Best Buy replaced first 6 on replacement plan I purchased-charging a pro rated cost each time. When I bought no. 7, BB told me I should go to GE for warranty and charged me a full price for new replacement plan, saying only one replacement allowed. I contacted GE about no. 7. Terrible run-around by GE thru maddening telephone menu maze ending in a dead. Somehow after much time spent got tele contact with GE customer relations, which after sending receipt, etc I received “Good Will Certificate” for cost of MW to buy another GE MW. Must send back receipt and wait 6 weeks for reimbursement. No telling what Best Buy will say when I take back this failure. GE is absolutely the worst customer relations I’ve experienced.Obviously GE knows and Best Buy knows this MW is worthless. Why do I keep going back to this mode:it fits our space, is white, and we haven’t found another suitable. So I continue playing the GE lottery.

So far so good. Easy to read and easy to use. Has lots of settings Cooks well.

My last GE lasted a long time so I got another. The door did not close well and it stopped working after 5 months. After calling GE they would replace up to cost or their standard price for that item but refused to cover the disposal fee for the old Microwave. You also have to buy the new one, send in proof then wait for a reimbursement check.

Works great and has all the extras you wil need. The express buttons make use fast and easy.

The unit lasted about 10 months and then the burning smell, decreased function and finally dead in the water. The unit was registered but GE had no record. GE scheduled a home repair visit and then last minute called to say they do not repair table top units. After 10 days of back and forth, they issued a good will certificate permitting me to buy another GE unit. I really don't want GE.....

I ordered this microwave for my mom. I waited almost a month to receive it but it was well worth it. The size is perfect - just what she wanted!

Well It lasted 7 mnths then died completely. I had the exact same one before this one and it lasted 10 yrs! that's why I wanted another. What a disappointment!. Did have a good customer service experience from GE once I figured out how to get to it. (had to call). GE should look into quality control. Their products used to be really good. Did have to replace with another GE, hope this lasts a lot longer!!

I bought this unit because it had good features and a large capacity while it also fit the space for it in my kitchen. I enjoyed it for 7 months and then it died! There were 5 months to go on the warranty, so I called GE Customer Care. I was offered service but the first appointment was over a week away, so I requested a replacement. After performing various steps to prove I wasn't scamming GE (great way to treat a customer who got a bad product from you, GE!) and waiting 48 hours, I was notified I had been awarded a "good will certificate" that allowed me to go out and purchase a new unit with the proviso that once I provided that receipt, I would be refunded the ORIGINAL unit price LESS taxes and shipping. As the new oven is more expensive than the first, I am now out that cost, plus the uncovered expenses on the old one. And, I now learn, it can take 6 weeks or more for the refund to process. This doesn't seem like a true warranty or customer care or good will or a company standing behind its products. I'm very disappointed.

Lasted only 3 years, almost exactly to the day. Worked fine while it worked, but I expected better durability and have had other microwaves that lasted much longer.

I like this microwave it warms food fast! I also like that it has easy to understand buttons.

I like the button layout and easy time setting on this microwave. The only problem with this microwave is rusty spots and white oxidization on the metal pan base and rusted screws. It's a brand new microwave and I picked it up yesterday in store at Best Buy.
