Just what we needed when our 8 year old GE microwave of the same size started to act up. This has the power to do all the jobs a bigger one does and saves space on the counter top. We even the glass turntable from the last one, just in case.

We did some research before purchasing and this seemed like the best deal for a reliable microwave in this size range. We have been very happy with this microwave - seems to cook even and pretty easy to use.

Love it...easy to use and definitely better than my previous microwave...love having the buttons on outside and the light inside which previous microwave had neither of these options.

I ordered this for my new home to match my other GE appliances. It looks great and is large enough for all of my needs - and at a great price. I use it mainly for heating up leftovers. The shortcut buttons (30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.), are really nice.

This replaced a microwave oven that was beginning to peel on the inside. After some research, I settled on this GE oven which had all the necessary features at a reasonable price. It is well built, and cooks evenly. I like the preprogrammed buttons too. What I do wish was that the panel was back lit, and it was a bit more quiet. Other than that, it's does what a good microwave oven should do.

We had an oddly shaped hole built for the microwave so we looked & looked for the best size (not too big/not too small). This fit perfectly & looked great. Sleek & beautiful stainless steel.

This replaced a relatively new LG microwave that died after 14 months. It is easier to use. Has a keypad that allows the user to input cooking time and other options. Seems to be user friendly. Too early to comment on its longevity.

It works great! it actually works better than a build in I have by a renowned brand.

This product is stainless steel only on the front portion. The GE product it is replacing its stainless all over. This looks cheap.

Solid microwave. Bought to replace a built-in, easy install. Product was shipped and came well packaged. Easy to set up and fairly intuitive.

I have been using my new GE 1.6 Cu Ft microwave, model JES1657SMSS for about a month now. It is very stylish. It seems to work ok, but sometimes I think it heats inconsistently. There are times when I can heat up something and it is hot and other times, I can heat up the same or similar thing and it comes out not as hot as the previous day. Also, when I push Start, the microwave hums like it is not at full power, this happens every time. I will update and let you know the lifespan of this microwave, hopefully it will last a few years.

We bought this microwave as a stop-gap while we prepare a kitchen remodel. But it performs so we'll that we plan to integrate it into the new kitchen. Tons of power, highly customizable and very intuitive. I highly recommend it.

About average as far as microwaves go. Does a great job, easy to use, a little louder than I would prefer.

Purchased this microwave to replace a similar -much older-GE microwave that I loved. I am not disappointed-this microwave is as good as the old one --except it is slightly larger and has a little more power. It works very well and the price was good.
