heats food, but fan is loud & cant be turned off

This unit requires that the FAN run at all times-even when heating a cup of water. Or just warming a bagel. the FAN is so loud. I found and downloaded the manual and there is NO WAY to turn it off the fan. I later saw it printed on the inside framework of the microwave. I am not sure if this is a new thing in microwave design-but it makes me use it less. The 'bang' sound of the door latching when as well as the fan running can be heard on the other side of the house, in a different room. Sooo disappointed. If I had the $$ I would replace it. It does seem to take a bit longer to heat up a cup of water-but it does do what is intended...just is annoying how loud it is.

Posted .The vent fan will make a sound similar to a vent hood. This exterior fan noise on the over-the-range microwave is a normal sound when the vent fan is in use. Easy to use.

It's a little less powerful that our last one so a few adjustments have to be made. It runs quietly. There was a cosmetic flaw with the first one and the Geek Squad crew ordered a new one for us and set up an installation. The second microwave was in excellent shape. Both Geek Squad Crews were excellent. Very pleased with their work.

Overall, nice oven with good control over temperature settings. Since I installed it myself, I noticed that this one significantly lightweight than my previously installed GE (GE Profile 2008) Oven. The wall mount is not backwards compatible with the older GE ovens. Therefore, I had to do new drills in the wall and in the top cabinet.

I was trying to find a microwave that will fit in my kitchen to replace the old one that went bad. I couldn't find one in other stores they where to big. Until i found this one and it fit perfectly. The only thing is that the buttons light is not that bright. For somebody that can't see good. Other than that good microwave.
