Not as good as the one I replaced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My old GE Microwave was 7 years old and died so I replaced it with this new one. Installation was a terrible process. None of the holes required matched my old unit so I had to measure where to place the 3 bolt's and drill new holes and I also had to figure where the hole was needed for the electrical cord. My previous GE Microwave replaced another GE Microwave and at that time all of the holes lined up perfectly. Some of the operational functions on the new Microwave have changed from the old so I have to re-learn how to use this new one. When this one dies I won't be so eager to replace it with another GE.

The only problem is the control buttons are hard to read on the black background, especially at night. It would be better if they were brighter.

I did the removal and installation myself. I do not recommend that if you feel hesitant. The new simpler unit works very well. I didn't use all the advance features of my old one. very happy with this model.

I notice everything so if that doesn't bother you..

Ten years later the microwave quit working. I was able to get an exact replacement with Best Buy online. Other local appliance stores could not get this color any more. Thanks Best Buy.

Cons: Like many over the range microwaves, takes two people to handle installation and function keys are not lit up and blends with the microwave cabinet making them difficult to see.
