Posted .We're glad you reached out. It seems that you may have activated the Control Lock-Out feature. This feature locks the control panel to prevent the oven from being accidentally started during cleaning or being used by children. To lock or unlock the controls, press and hold Cancel/Off for about three seconds. When the control panel is locked, “Loc” will be displayed briefly anytime a button is pressed. This new oven does heat/cook food as one might expect, however; there are a couple of design shortcomings that make this hard to recommend. 1. The screen mesh on the glass door is so dense that it is difficult to see what is inside. 2. The keypad requires much more force than previous GE microwave ovens that we have used in the past. The is annoying. 3. Our particular unit does not allow the installation of the charcoal filter. Based on the installation instructions some units can be fitted with the charcoal filter and some cannot. For the above reasons; we do not recommend this microwave oven.
