Had to replace the current over-the-stove microwave and this one's measurements were only slightly larger for the depth. Once installed you do not really notice it sticks out a bit more. I love that you can choose to not have the turntable move, it has several levels of night light which is nice, look very nice installed and works perfectly. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Super oven. Easy to install. We searched for this microwave at several stores and online. Best Buy had the best price and was the ability to find which store in our vicinity had it in stock was quite valuable.

Button locations might be improved so that the most used ones (power, cook time) are next to each other. Otherwise, the oven is easy to use and is functioning nicely. The exhaust fan seems quieter and more powerful than its predecessor. It looks fine over the range. The exhaust fan operates by a single button, which is simple enough. The buttons are labeled clearly enough that unless the lighting is really bad, I have no trouble reading them. This, surprisingly, was a problem with its predecessor.

I loved my previous countertop GE for over 16 years so I figured I would get a new one when I needed to replace my over the range Samsung in my newly moved into house, only thing was the Samsung only lasted a year. So I immediately went out to look for a GE, It has the same wattage as my old GE but that CT(countertop) one melted 2Tbsp of butter in <30 secs. This one takes at least 45-60 secs, so it does not seem as powerful. My wife does like the defrosting capabilities on this model, because "it actually defrosts" unlike our previous GE model which seemed to cook and thaw at the same time. I like the dual speed fan and dual dimness of the light and now to what I do not like...GE I hope you are listening.
GE who designed the setup for the keypad configuration? The add 30 sec button is 'hidden' inside all the rest of the keys, why not put it near the bottom near the cancel and start buttons. and the cook time button? (yes some people like to use their microwave to melt butter for 45 seconds) it is lost inside the sea of confusion trying to find that function button.
All in all I like the microwave and it is a good buy at under 200 and I do recommend it, but I just do not like the control button setup.

The microwave is very efficient and nice looking. The only problem is that the silver screen comes down easily if you hit it at all while cleaning. We payed for insulation, they did a great job!

Easy installation, looks nice. Extremely load fan when operating though, Sound level was 80dB standing in front of it, like a hair dryer. The fan "automatically" turns on, so its always loud. It should be a whisper unless I turn on the vent, does the electronics really need 300CFM to keep cool?
Many people commented how quite it is, while some had same noise complaint. I Replaced a 20year old GE microwave that was very quite, so I either got a bad unit or that's just the noise levels people are used to now... i will talk to GE about this issue.

Had to replace one in a rental unit that quit after about 12 years, which is longer than I expected it to last in a rental. So this is now our default microwave. Basic functions but hey, it's a microwave.
