Excellent above stove microwave

Removed the broken microwave and installed this one. Previous support bracket was identical. Converted easy to room vent situation.

Thought it would be the same or better. Turned out to be cheaper and worse in terms of quality. Also, the bolts are not in the same spots and the mounting plate changed. I thought it was going to be a simple swap, but it required a bit more effort than expected. The touch pad is cheap. Pressing certain buttons make a cheap plastic creaking sound which didnt happen my old unit. The blower unit also makes a high pitch noise that didnt exist on my old microwave. If you're sensitive to noise, you may want look elsewhere. The door is very light and feels cheap. The top edge of my door was grinding against the adjacent edge of the microwave housing or cover. It made a popping sound every time I opened the door. I had to get a screwdriver and hammer to reshape the metal housing to fix the problem. Bad QC by GE. There is only one light bulb instead of two found on older models, so this one is dimmer but still ok. Otherwise, the microwave works fine.

Luckily found this model and it was almost an exact replica. I love the express buttons, can't live without them. The door feels a bit stiff so I worry about damaging it if it's pulled too hard. You really have to "slam" or push the door shut otherwise it pops back out toward you. Overall very happy with the microwave and the options/ features.
