The one we were replacing was only about 4 years old, but it kept shorting out. We thought it would make it easier to just get the same one, but we were wrong. The newer model is a lower quality and the holes are in different spots, so we had to drill again. If you are in this situation, just get the microwave you want. This one isn’t that great, and it’s not any less work.

It failed after only 2 years of service. Tried self repair to no avail. Did not want to repurchase same but did, because it was only the 1000 W unit in stock that would physically fit without complications. Also, the pushbutton controls are impossible to read unless the kitchen is brightly lit.
