The handle is all plastic and based on how it looks and feels, I doubt it will last long. So all those reviews where the handle breaks are probably true. The next issue is how loud this thing is. The vent fan is loud when you microwave anything. It’s obnoxiously loud. If your considering this might want to purchase extended coverage. Microwaves are the worst and this Chinese build quality just isn’t getting any better.

It was right after the warranty was over. I had no problems with it otherwise. It was very expensive but didn’t last long.

On Wednesday night , we had guests and during the process of warming up our dinner, the unit ceased to work and has not worked since. This is the second GE product I purchased that failed. No more GE products. Going to exchange this unit for Whirlpool

It is absolutely ridiculous that you cant read them at all without some kind of artificial light. dont't know what GE was thinking. My microwave from 30 years ago had a control panel you could read

The only problem I have is there is no light to see the controls later in the afternoon and evening so in order to use it, I need to use a flashlight.
