This microwave worked for about three weeks and then shorted out and doesn't work at all. It started beeping randomly at like 5 a.m. one day, and the flashing message was 'keypad short,' which I assume means that the touch-screen needs to be replaced. We cannot even set the clock on it now.
I have never had an over-the-range microwave, so I didn't know that the panel should have been backlit, but that never worked, which indicates to me that there was an electrical problem from the minute it was installed. So I have brand new appliances and now need to spend money on a different microwave and time to install it. Hopefully the stainless will match. NOT happy!

Unit malfunctioned at keypad and buzzer does not work anymore. I have to unplug it to temporarily get the keypad to work. This may last one to two uses then it doesn't take any input anymore. 8 months old and total failure.

I was dissatisfied with the process due to the fact that there were no "guts"...no plate, no support ring, no carousel drive coupler, and no manual with the microwave. For me to purchase just the plate alone was $92. Unfortunately, I thought that Best Buy would stand by their product and make good on the missing items so my husband installed the microwave. That was not the case. When I called, the only thing the rep would do is have us return the microwave for another one. It took quite a lot of time to install it and I couldn't believe that was the only option. I will not recommend purchasing this way from Best Buy to anyone.

I bought the stainless steel version. Primary complaint is the key pad is hard to see (gray on black) so need to memorize the buttons!

You're better off going with another microwave. It takes up to 3 minutes just to heat up a slice of pizza. I've had to microwave leftovers up to 15 minutes at time. Very weak microwave and yes, the power level is all the way up! Also no lights on the buttons which would have been a nice feature.

Do not buy this item. The materials made for this microwave doesn't protect the keypad from heat. After having the unit mounted, I ised my stove and immediately noticed an area on the keypad bubble. It's not like I can remove it from the counter and take it back to the store, it's mounted so now I'm stuck with it.

Failure on the way

Worked great. Two years into ownership, flickering time/time cook etc. started to flicker. Brought in independent repair service. For $89.00 diagnosis said $150 for new mother board plus one other part. That makes it cost of unit to repair, ultimately. We won't buy GEW evewr again.

My problem is the clock. The numbers are so close together, you can’t tell the time unless you are real close. And you can’t show all zero’s to stop it.

Extremely disappointed. I bought two of these for my rental property and in less than two years, the over stove light stopped working in both units. The microwave works fine, but the light that provides a safer night-time cooking environment is now non-functional and it will cost me as much to have Best Buy fix it as it will cost to buy and install a brand new unit. I'm very annoyed and feel like I wasted too much money on these microwaves.
