Purchased this as a Christmas gift for a family member and the unit was shorting out by Thanksgiving the next year. Not impressed by the durability of this unit and had to replace it with something else.

The only thing lighted on the screen is the TIME. Although the control is working but, there is no light on the control. in other word, you have to use a light to used this unit if you have a bad eye sight.

I picked up over the range microwave at curbside on Sunday. Went to install it last night only to find out that the customer care manager had loaded a black colored microwave instead of the white one that I ordered. Now I have to drive out to Virginia Beach location to exchange it because the Greenbrier store does not have any in stock at the moment.

I bought this a little over a year ago. It already broke. It keeps tripping the breaker and now it just completely stopped working. I replaced this one with an old one that lasted 15 years! Whatever happened to good reliable products??

I've had 3 GE 1.6cu microwaves over the past 20 years. The first lasted 10 years. The second lasted 7.5 years. This one only lasted 2.5 years and died yesterday. Not a great quality trend. Looking for a fourth replacement. Not sure if another GE is in my future.

We have now had this microwave in our home for a little over 2 years, and it has broken 3 times. The fuses have gone out, and it trips the breaker and dies when we try to use it. So far, I've been disappointed.

I love the microwave if it was white, but I am 78 years old and can not see the controls. I am so sorry that I did not buy the white one instead of stainless. I am going to try to sell it and get the white one.

The first unit purchased was broken within the first the first week. My tenant had to wait over a week to get the new one and have it installed. I’ll chalk this up to bad luck. Best Buy sales people have been terrific. Ultimate professionals.

I bought this unit to replace the same model that was less than three years old. The unit prior to that had lasted 20 years and was only replaced with a GE because the color didn't match the new range that went in three years ago.
Why would I buy another if they don't last but a couple of years? Because the local stores do not stock but a select few microwaves that they sell and instead you have to pay a large amount to have it shipped to you. This one was one of the few in stock so I bought it and installed it myself, reusing the old bracket from the dead GE it was replacing.
This is a stop-gap purchase and in two years, if it lasts that long, I will order a nicer and hopefully better made unit from Amazon with free shipping and install it myself.

This microwave seems to be a good one. I would like the interior to be a bit larger. It looks nice too.
