This microwave works great and takes some practice to use. However! Note: The keypad does NOT have a light behind the pad. Therefore you can NOT use it at night WITHOUT turning on the kitchen lights. Had i had known this! I would not have purchased the item. As you know , products on the showroom are not plugged in and unless asked, the salespeople will not know anything different. Upon discussion with customer service, I was advised i should have NOT purchased a "low end" product. Wonderful reassurance wouldn't you say?

The mounting system on this model is extremely flawed and dangerous. The nuts within the head of this unit are on a movable hinge. The contraption will detach and fall in the unit during installation while inserting the bolts.These should have a fixed female unit like the older model that preceeded this one. While installing two of these microwaves, one of these hinges have came off. I don't want to continue making trips to Best Buy returning as this will probably happen a third time. GE should really consider discontinuing these fasteners and go to a more stable and fixed connection. Currently my microwave is only secured by one bolt as the hinge has fallen inside where it remains. Hopefully the technician can recity this issue within warranty. I would not recommend this unit.

Design and ease of use are great but it stopped working after 28 months.

Horrible product. Our first one lasted 2-3 years before power went out. GE did not care. We then bought another and it lasted for another 3 years where the microwave caught fire inside from heating a "microwavable" bag of popcorn. Another ongoing issue is that the coating handle of the door started to strip. Poorly made product. GE customer service says since it is out of warranty they cannot help or provide any support.

Efficient nice looking product. Easy to clean cooks evenly

Would not buy again! Door often gets stuck, whereas you must slam the door for it to work properly.

This model used to be nicer. The handle is not as sturdy as it used to be. I hope it lasts longer than 2 years.

Gave 2 star because i like how looks and performance. The Durability is not good. 2 months later the turning table is making noise.I check to see if there was anything but its clean.

Started blowing fuses after 18 mos; replaced fuses but it’s a known issue with the door plate. Was fine while it worked but certainly not nearly long enough—shouldn’t need to do any repairs on a new appliance product so soon.

Bought two of these units - one in 2017 and in 2019. Liked the actual units but I had to get rid of both of them as they started blowing the circuit breaker after a while (tried 2 separate dedicated circuits). The manufacturer was good enough to replace the first one even though the warranty had expired. Hopefully they have fixed whatever the problem is, but I can't recommend this unit.

Generally happy with this microwave. I just hope it lasts longer than the identical model that started tripping my circuit breaker after 7 years.

It worked great for 5 years and then just started popping an internal fuse every other week that cost $10 to replace. After happening twice I had to get rid of this. It seems to be a very common problem.

We love this microwave it just does not last. Glad we purchase the extra insurance for it and Best Buy ALWAYS honors it!!!

I purchased an open-box model. Unfortunately, the door did not function properly. It was difficult to open and I was afraid I was going to break it. When fully open, the plastic interior trim piece was actually pulling away from the inside of the door near the top hinge. I fault Best Buy more than GE on this, as the open-box model was marked as being in excellent condition; clearly it was not. This one is being returned and I ordered a new one already. I hope I have better luck with the new one.
