I wanted an efficient microwave that fit and looked great over the range to replace the one that came with the house 14 years ago. The steel gray stainless brushed finish is such a great look in my kitchen. It works perfectly also and I like the second tier rack for more than one food to be cooked. Thanks GE for a great microwave..and thanks Best Buy for offering it at such a great "Out of the Box" price that made the purchase too good to pass up.

Replaced my 11 year old G.E. over the range microwave with another G.E. I was happy to be able to use the same mounting bracket. One negative is that the metal case is flimsy. When I mounted it you can see open space between the mounting screws. Otherwise all is ok.

This microwave looks great and has good fit and finish. the buttons and functions are very useful. was easy to install and works quietly and cooks very fast.

We love this microwave, easy to control and has alot of features and still more to discover, I'm not a high tech person and I learned quickly how to use it. Love the finish and the large turn table plate. I love the four speed vent, it extracts the smells out of the kitchen fast and it's quieter than my previous micro oven, we made a great choice and highly recommend it.

We bought this to replace an old GE SpacemakerXL microwave which stopped working. Troubleshooting and potentially replacing the magnetron was going to cost as much as a new one so we just researched the options and caught this one on sale. I have 2 beefs: The first is I wish GE would stop moving the mounting holes and the plugs. It could very well be a feature which would drive people to brand loyalty if they knew that the replacement could be installed using the same mount and cabinet mounting holes as their previous model. Secondly, I haven't found a way to disable the beeps from each key press but yet keep the "food is ready" beep on. The fan control actually has 4 speeds: It has BOOST, HIGH, MED,LOW. I can hear only the tiniest of differences between BOOST and HIGH, and see that they decided to stop featuring the "4" speeds. Other than that, it went in easily (after drilling new holes everywhere) and works great.

Mounting was difficult, but that's just the nature of over the range microwaves. Once the sweat and cursing was over the microwave has been fantastic. The high power fan sucks up everything under neither it. The MyPlate and deforst features both work really well. It's a large microwave and has defosted pounds of chicken at a time like a champ.

This is the best microwave I have ever. Is very spacious and look gorgeous in my new kitchen. Is very easy to cook with....

I needed to replace my original microwave due to lightening. This one fit the hole. I had a hard time finding one that would fit my original hole. Looks nice and fits great. My boys can work it easily. Very user friendly.

Had a GE previously and the brackets matched up, so we didn't have to do any additional drilling to install this over the oven. Love the matte gray finish and color. Works great!

I purchased this microwave after my current one stopped working. I looks great in my kitchen with all my other appliances and was actually pretty easy to install (with help from someone who knew what they were doing.) it works great too. I love the light function underneath the unit; my old maytag did not have that. It cooks food in ample time and does all the basics. It is all in all a great product for a great affordable price.

This microwave has a very good standing with consumer reports. Reviews were pretty good too. Lowes, Home Depot and Best Buy all sell this microwave but I found that none of them actually keep it in stock. They all had 2 to 3 week lead times. I chose best buy just to get the points..haha I've only been using it a month but have no complaints. I was able to install it with a friend pretty easily but we are a bit handy. I would recommend this product.

I love this newer color of gray(slate) very easy to clean. Looks great in my kitchen

I have used the item for heating foods only couple weeks now,it's very user friendly, good features but the heating time is not that powerful especially when u get the food just out from the fridge.In my old microwave it normally took 1 min to heat enough but this time I need additional 30 sec.

This microwave had all of the features I was looking for to replace an existing microwave. I am very pleased with it's performance and the look. I got a great price as well.

I purchased this micro/hood to complete the look of the kitchen using the complete slate line. It looks great and works wonderfully. Multi-speed exhaust fan can be mounted to recirculate air after passing through a two stage filter, or vented directly outside. Has many quick cook options. The most important things....heats pizza nicely, pops a great bag of corn, and also has room for homemade dishes for the family, or just the family sized frozen entrees when in a time crunch. I also like the bright clock and under lighting in both bright and night light modes. Made in the USA is a great plus as well. The slate color looks fantastic and breaks the monotony of all the stainless steel that seems to be in everyone's kitchen today. You won't be disappointed.

The circuit board on our old OTR Samsung died. We researched replacements and chose the GE OTR for it's size and features. So far it works great.

So far so good. I have had the microwave for 1 month now and it works fine (although I have not used all of the features yet). My only complaint so far is that the control panel is not backlit, Makes it hard to read the control buttons when the lighting is poor. The buttons have medium gray lettering on a blackish background. They are hard to see even during the daytime and almost impossible to see in the evening without additional lighting. Also the clock is very dim. Cannot see it from a short distance. I am not aware of any way to control the brightness of the clock display.

Nice microwave!! I like the way I can put things inside that are cold and when I open the door they are hot, very clever idea!!
