Our last fridge had little things that annoyed us, so this time around we made sure to find one that didn’t have all those little annoyances. 1. Ice maker - ice was always getting jammed up. This fridge has yet to do that and we’ve had it for about a month now. 2. The brackets that held the shelves in the freezer couldn’t hold the weight of the stuff on the shelves and would make the shelves sag. This freezer has built in rails so the shelves will never sag. 3. Our last fridge had all these nice displays but they always burnt out. We had them replaced twice. Never really used them anyways, but this fridge has basically only what we need...ice, crushed ice, and water. And then when you want to set the temp, that display comes up. I would recommend this fridge no problem. We did go from a normal depth to this counter depth, so that is about the only thing that took some getting used to because we had to arrange things a little differently but still plenty of space.

It's been few weeks sensed we got our new fridge and so far so good. It took a little getting used to. Our old one was with us for 30+ years. Also a GE! The new one is counter deep, which is better for space and flow of foot traffic thru our kitchen. I did order an extra bin for the fridge side door. But other wise there is plenty of room. Compared to my old one, I like the large covered butter area on the door and the cold cuts/cheese draw is also deeper! I like the LED lights too!!! It runs quiet! So hopefully it will last for 30+ years like it's old cousin! So far no regrets and very happy with our purchase!

We have just moved and as a result had to buy a new refrigerator. After reading all the reviews for all brands, we came to the conclusion that all other things appliances are no longer built to last a lifetime. We decided we would rather spend 1200 dollars instead of 4200 for something that was probably going to need to be replaced within the next 8 years. We picked this GE side by side because of the reviews and because of the price. The first model we received had a bent freezer door and because of that snow crystals started to form in the freezer after the first two days of our ownership. We called Best Buy and they agreed to bring out a new frig in about a week. The second one we got has been perfect. It is very quiet. It stays a constant temperature in the freezer and in the refrigerator. For the money we spent, we are very pleased and Best Buy did the right thing by switching out our refrigerator with no questions asked. We think we were smart to buy this particular refrigerator! If the first one they delivered had not been damaged, I woul give it 4 or 5 stars.

Clean design, easy to use adjustable shelves, fits well into existing space (replacing an older GE model). But I dob’t understand how or why we lost a cubic foot of atorage given the same external dimensions.

I was looking for a counter-depth fridge to replace a Whirlpool in my small kitchen. The measurements on this one looked good, so I ordered it. It fits perfectly, is amazingly quiet, and has lots of room inside on both the freezer side and the fridge side. The water/ice feature in the door is convenient and works very well. The fridge powers up occasionally, but it is so quiet that it is barely noticeable. The delivery team from Best Buy did an awesome job with the installation. I actually feel like I won the jackpot with this fridge - it’s excellent.

The unit is good for those with narrow dining room doorways. Love the water and Ice dispenser and it even has a "night light"! BB provided Great Delivery and Installation Too! Getting a new frig is no easy task between emptying out the old one and getting it removed, the floor cleaned, and the new one squeezed through two doors, and into the perfect spot. Well, the Best Buy delivery team heled at every turn. The first frig was too wide and they knew it would not fit so they saved me the hassle and took it back and told me to order the counter depth so it would fit and it did! Delivery was fast, and a huge help. Thanks BB team!

Looks quite nice and it isn't noisy, it's not a fingerprint magnet, still not a lot of space inside (it's expected not being very deep). The water jet from the water dispenser is a little weird, you have to get used to it especially if you want to fill a narrow neck bottle. As a whole we are satisfied with this product for an affordable price.

We only have owned this for a couple of weeks. This counter depth refrigerator enhanced the look of our newly renovated kitchen. Not only is it good looking but it is one of the quietest refrigerators we have owned. This is extremely important in an open concept home design. It is a great value for the money. The only concern is that the refrigerator is finger print resistant (i.e.clear coated) but the handles are not. While not a deal breaker, this oversight should corrected by GE.

Its about 6 weeks since I got this refrigerator. My earlier GE cafe model was giving me trouble, was not cooling enough, had it repaired several times but no go. So, decided to replace it and was looking at several brands, but due to our space restrictions could only shortlist a few. Best Buy had an offer on this GE, and am happy I got this one. This model is very similar to the Cafe model and has everything that the earlier one had except that premium/luxurious finish is missing but still it does have a very good look. The quality and finish overall is very good. The interior space is well designed for both the freezer and main compartments. The cooling is excellent, ice maker is good and the water dispenser is well designed to prevent spills. Noticed that it does make a bit of noise when the compressor starts but it reduces once it settles into a steady rhythm. The unit is well lit in the main compartment but it could have more lights in the freezer section and the placement of lights could be better. But I guess I had gotten used to the bright lights in the Cafe range and they reduced the number of lights to lower the price. All in all I am happy with this GE and hope it gives me several years of good service. Highly recommend this model!

Although I haven't owned mine for very long, I've had absolutely zero problems with this refrigerator. I can't attest to the water dispenser portion as I don't have it hooked up at the moment but the ice bucket can be filled manually and it will dispense ice as designed. Make sure the ice maker switch is set to the OFF position to avoid inadvertently burning out the motor. I've read some other reviews complaining about noise or excessive freezing/ice crystals and that sort of thing but I have encountered no such issues. It runs quietly, looks great, and the Best Buy personnel who installed it took their time to explain the operation and other details. They were VERY professional as well. The refrigerator was well packed, with the plastic protective coating in place and everything wrapped tight as drum. I personally have no problems with unwrapping the shelves and placing them where I need them to be. That way I know all the parts are there with nothing missing. The refrigerator should be allowed to run until it achieves its optimal temperature before adding food/drinks to it (usually for a solid 24 hours). That way it doesn't have to struggle trying to get to the optimal temperature while simultaneously trying to cool/freeze food and drinks. In conclusion, great quality refrigerator, professional installation, satisfied with purchase!

The refrigerator is excellent. I love the size and it fits the space perfectly. However, you want to make sure you get the 'A' team to install. My floors can attest to what happens when frustration occurs, and you got the 'B' team of installers.

We are about three weeks into owning this fridge. Purchased to replace our beloved LG Counter Depth French Door unit whose compressor failed. While I miss the width of the refrigerator shelves, as well as them being all at eye level, of the french door, we have loved the size and layout of the freezer. Water works nicely, ice is good; also like that the shelves are adjustable heights, along with the door shelves. Many other models we looked at had fixed height shelves. Also appreciate the three fridge drawers, vs. two. Although pay attention to your needs, as the bottom most fridge drawer isn't as deep as the fridge. Water filter also appears to be simple to change when necessary. Good lighting. Four stars only because we have no idea about the longevity of the unit.

For the price the fridge is pretty nice. It was a little tricky to get the shelves in and we ended up cracking one so be aware of that. Also the shelves themselves on the door are small, so be aware

So glad GE still makes this counter depth side by side refrigerator. The choices for these features are very limited. The temperature controls are easily accessed and the water and ice dispenser is great. It's very quiet, even when making ice.

Excellent refrigerator. Fits perfectly in the space, runs great, filtered water n ice saves me hundreds on bottled water. It is also beautiful in my smaller kitchen.

Works very well so far. No complaints. Nice finish and storage arrangments of shelves. Fits nicely into space. Both doors open without needing any additional space between wall and refrigerator. Temperature indicator is helpful above water dispenser.

We are pleased with the new refrigerator and I would have posted 4.5 stars but the system didn’t have a way to do that.

So Far i love this fridge. Because it is counter depth it is a little smaller than I am use to but works fine. The best part is that this stainless steel does not get a lot of finger prints. It also is very sleek.

I needed a stainless steel, counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator for our kitchen, at a reasonable price. Best Buy was the only place where I could meet all those objectives. So far, we have been very happy with this GE refrigerator. It seems well designed, something important in a counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator. The only issue I have had is occasional sensitivity of the door alarm.

Even though this refrigerator is a little smaller than the last one it is a good size for us. Works great, Is quiet. Controls are easy to understand and use.
