Great fridge, I
Has plenty of room for being a 2 door refrigerator. It works perfect with my ice maker and the price was great!

This fridge is on the smaller size, but it is the size needed to fit in my mom's kitchen due to overhead cabinets. The one thing I would note is that this model does not have a light in the freezer compartment.

Good looking in stainless steel color, goes well with the compact GE countertop SS microwave we got for the apartment. Cooled down fast after install and runs fairly quiet, much better than the old Kenmore clunker we had before. The only drawback is SS is a finger print magnet and it would have been nice if it had a light in the freezer as well.

Never realized how quiet our Samsung French door bottom freezer fridge was until we replaced it with this one. This fridge is a LOT louder, although probably would be considered about average on the overall noise scale. It's just a lot more noticeable, having had a very quiet fridge before.
This fridge is nice and roomy, with great storage space in the doors and very deep shelves. The compact meat/cheese drawer in the middle bottom is a little wonky, but overall this is a solid mid-range fridge.

The refrigerator itself seems fine. A lot of trouble getting it. Customer service was horrible. Incompetence at every corner. Not the usual service we receive. We still don't have the correct icemaker. Noisier than we expected. No egg storage area.

We're returning this fridge. There weren't too many options because of the pandemic and our previous fridge went out the Tuesday after Black Friday/Cyber Monday, so we settled on this top-freezer when we really wanted a side-by-side.
There are a variety things wrong with this fridge. I might be able to excuse one or two, but we are currently waiting on a different model to be delivered this weekend to exchange with this one.
- Delivered with deep gouges/scratches on the side and bottom of the door. Not sure if this occurred during delivery (the doors were removed, so they didn't scratch them on the way in, but maybe it happened while they were removing them outside) or if they sent us a scratch-and-dent.
- For whatever reason, probably a manufacturing defect, the top and bottom door handles rub on each other so you have to forcefully open and close both compartments, sometimes so much so that the whole fridge will roll forward and if you're not careful, the door won't fully close.
- The "recommended" setting keeps the fridge at 46 and freezer at 10 (well below the FDA recommendation of below 40 and 0). The door is even warmer. I set it on 4 and it eventually brought it down to the recommended settings but does seem to get warmer still so I'm worried about stuff thawing or going bad.
- This sucker is LOUD. It's as loud as our dishwasher when it's running. I wouldn't mind it if it were a second fridge for use in our kitchen or basement but it is annoying to have something that loud almost CONSTANTLY running in the kitchen.
- I truly hate the layout. It's been several years since I've had a top freezer so perhaps I've forgotten, but anything not at the very front of the refrigerator is instantly lost. I must have taken for granted how easy it was to see everything in a side-by-side.
- The drawers are super low-quality and don't slide well, and if the fridge door is not ALL the way open, the one closest to the hinge won't be able to open.
- After a week, we still haven't managed to get all the blue plastic off the doors because it wraps all the way to the inside of the seals. Is there some secret to removing it? The delivery people said to wait a few hours to remove it, which we did, and it still came off unevenly around the edges.
- The stainless steel really picks up every fingerprint and smudge. I know it's not advertised as fingerprint resistant but it really brings the whole aesthetic down.
- It's not shown clearly in the picture, but whichever side doesn't have the fridge handle has a hole in it that is covered up by a tiny cheap piece of plastic that is very noticeable. The freezer at least has the GE emblem that looks more purposeful (unfortunately, the blue plastic is impossible to remove around it, at least so far).
For as much as this fridge costs, I really expected better. If it had just been a few of the above issues, most of which are not dealbreakers on their own, and/or if it had cost half the price, I would probably have put up with it. But it's all of these things at a ridiculous price point.
Do better, GE.

A few weeks in. Solid garage refrigerator. Large capacity and quiet.

I bought this refrigerator as a second fridge for the garage. It works very well. It’s quiet enough and keeps everything cold while being used in the garage. The only complaint I have is that it only has LED lighting in the refrigerator portion and not the freezer, but it seems this is common with all top mount freezers.

Great size, but the freezer door does not stay closed. Had to buy a lock off Amazon because every time we close the fridge door the freezer door pops open.
