I've had the builder grade dishwasher in my house since I bought it. No real complaints about it. It always cleaned the dishes very well. That is until is started leaking. Found this dishwasher at Best Buy and it was a good price being on sale at the time. Bought it and installed it myself. Install was easy since I was just replacing an existing dishwasher. I could tell by the stainless steel tube and sound deadening on the outside it was going to be quiet but I was not prepared for just how quiet. Then I used it for the first time. At first I just ran an empty cycle to leak check. It was extremely quiet but I figured that was due to it being empty. After about a week worth of dishes we finally ran it the first time. It was just as quiet fully loaded. It is a night and day difference from the old one. Not only can I wash dishes while watching TV now, the only time I hear it is when the water drains into the garabage disposal. I've yet to hear any internal noises. I hear they make quieter dishwashers than this but I don't see why. It's also insulted very well. My granite counter top used to get really hot when I ran the dishwasher. Now it stay the same temperature as the rest of the counter. You don't be disappointed.

Our old whirlpool dishwasher went out after 10 years. I did a lot of research and found the perfect one loaded with extras and was on sale for $629.00 normally $850.00 , this one had more features than even the more expensive ones , this model has a steam pre rinse, to loosen dried on food, and 3 cleaning arms, and you can chose to heat dry or air dry. Most other dishwashers have one or the other, and this one also has a built in garbage desposal. And stainless steel inside and out. And is so quite there's a light on The front so you know it's running, it makes no sound at all. 46 decimals and the light up digital display is great and has time remaining also. Adjustable rack and you can wash just the upper or lower rack if you wish. And you can pre set it to start at a certain time. The only negative thing is the cycles are rather long. But that's not a problem with us as we usually set it before bed time. I highly recommend this dishwasher. And the dishes come out sparkling clean.

This dishwasher is perfect. Slate has a much higher-end appearance than black, and won't show fingerprints like stainless steel. Cleans fantastically and is ultra-quiet - barely a hum. Holds a tremendous amount of dishes, even fits a medium size cutting board on the top rack. Dozens of functions I haven't begun to explore yet. Quickest cycle is 75 minutes, with a digital display showing time remaining, and seems to work fine for most normal loads.

Just used this for the first time - it is whisper quiet! Controls are easy to figure out and use. Looks like it will hold a lot. The bottom rack is a little low, so I imagine it will accommodate large items nicely. Sleek look.

It cleans gr at. The heated dry works well. It's much quieter than our last one. You can actually have a conversation in the kitchen right next to it. The dB rating I would say are pretty accurate. The only downside to the noise is it is installing higher pitched than any dishwasher I've used but it's not that loud and it only lasts for the first cycle and is well worth it. The dishwasher is spacious. It was pretty easy to install. And slate is an amazing finish.

This dishwasher really compliments the slate line of appliances in my kitchen. It offers a stainless steel tub, hidden controls, and ultra quiet performance. Dishes come out sparkling and cleans many dishes at a time. We have teens and the plates and bowls aren't always placed in the dishwasher free of food, but hey they made it in, but they always come out remarkably clean. The added built in food disposer really aids in the performance and adds piece of mind that drains won't clog. Happy to recommend this American made product.

The dishes and silverware come out very clean, but even with the heated dry on we have to crack the door and let them air dry for a while. The adjustable racks are fantastic and provide plenty of room to fit all kinds of dishes. Minimal complaint, but the wine glass stem holders are too close together to fit more than 4 wine glasses. It also runs extremely quiet; we wouldn't know it was on if the light on the front didn't turn on. Overall, pretty happy with this dishwasher.

I needed to replace my GE dishwasher and this was a good option to match in with my other GE appliances. It has a good selection of features and looks great in my kitchen. I do miss the speed cycle that was on my old dishwasher however I found that the light wash works well. It does take more time when using heat to dry. The full cycle then is 113 minutes. I sometimes stop it much sooner and the dishes are dry. It does a really good job of cleaning the dishes for me on the light wash. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Seems to clean well Very quiet. Still getting used to racks as they are a lot different from old washer. Adjustable upper rack is very useful for taller items below.

So much better than my old dishwasher, I like the top hidden controls. It is very quiet, dishes are getting very clean. Love the slate color.

This dishwasher replaced a 15 year old Whirpool that the pump shorted out on. The color is exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want white or black and my wife sees stainless as too institutional looking. The only real complaint we have is that this dishwasher seems smaller internally than our old one even though it's larger by about 2 cubic feet. I think it has to do with the fact that the corners of the racks have larger 45 degree sections at the front. Also the tines seem more spread out on the bottom rack and closer together on the top rack. This dishwasher is nice though. Plenty of bells and whistles. Loads of settings(one to mention that I don't remember seeing in the description is the ability to wash only the top or bottom rack if you have a small load). And quiet. I can only hear a slight higher pitched whine when it's running(which GE has somewhat remedied by including an extra piece of insulation for the pump/transmission section). The only other thing of note is that the door, when open, comes very close to touching the floor. The handle protrudes on this one versus the old one having the handle recessed into the door.

Beautiful design and very quiet. Cleans very thoroughly. Love it.

So quiet! Pleasant chime when finished cleaning. Cleans dishes great. There is a weird foil area where the controls are that is very sensitive and can be scratched easily. But other than that the quality of the product seems superb and works great after we've had it nearly two months.

It gets the dishes really clean. The only complaint is that the spaces are a little too far apart on the bottom, making it harder to organize smaller items. I love the special holders for wine glasses on the top!

This is one of four appliances we purchased to update our kitchen. The color is perfect and truly changed the overall appearance of the kitchen. One of the important things we looked for was a quiet dishwasher - our previous one sounded like a jet taking off! This is SO QUIET I've checked to make sure it is really on!!! It's been installed over a month and we love it!

We had a similar GE dishwasher in our last house and were impressed, but this one is even quieter. It was also very simple to install ourselves. Our favorite feature, so far, is the adjustable height of the top rack.

I love this dishwasher. I've owned several GE products, including several dishwashers. This dishwasher is so quiet, the only drawback is not knowing it's running sometimes. Love the slate finish, no fingerprints :)

I love it, very quiet and cleans really good, I read the review before purchasing this product and I did not regret buying one, stainless inside, looks elegant.

My last dishwasher was 17 years old. They really improved since then. This one does an awesome job of cleaning and is so quiet we hardly know that it is running.

I purchased the dishwasher to replace an older Frigidaire unit that failed after 6 years. I wanted a quiet unit, that would not show fingerprints. This unit fit the bill! It's relatively quiet, the slate finish hides fingerprints, and it had really nice gliding shelves. Cleans well with many different options to clean longer or hotter. The unit did fail 2 weeks after I installed it. Apparently the water connector fitting leaked which fried the circuit board. Geek Squad warranty crew ordered the parts and came out and fixed it promptly after the parts arrived from GE. No other problems so far.
