We had our new GE 24" Tall Tub Dishwasher installed this past Monday. Used it twice so far and cannot believe how quiet it is. Had to put my ear up close to the door to make sure that it was actually working. After each wash, all the dishes, glasses, pots and pans came out perfectly clean. The full cycle time seems a bit long, but a small price to pay for a dishwasher that does a great job cleaning and is so very quiet. Very attractive design available in black to match our existing kitchen appliances. I highly for recommend this GE model for anyone looking for a new built-in dishwasher.

I upgraded to this dishwasher from another GE that was 12 years old. Other than having replaced a piston seal at around year 10, the old one performed flawlessly. The only two things I didn't like about the old one was its noise level, which to avoid we'd set a delay timer and only run it in the middle of the night, and the very inefficient interior design losing a lot of dish loading capacity. I'm one month into using the new one. Each time I run it I'm amaze at how quiet it is. I literally can't hear it running unless I put my ear right near it. No problem watching TV while it is running, something we could never do with the old one. Dish loading capacity is also amazing. It is easily 50% more capacity, even more if I have an extra large load and arrange them carefully. Love that the exterior and the interior are stainless steel. The exterior finish is much easier to keep clean than our old one, just wipe with a damped cloth and it's spotless. I really had no reason to replace the old one, so even with the holiday sale on it I contemplated for a good long while before I decided to upgrade. Very very glad I did. Best home upgrade ever for us. Since we're so pleased with the dishwasher, we upgraded our range to another GE two weeks later.

First of all the black slate is beautiful. The dishwasher cleans incredibly well and is incredibly quiet.....My family members keep opening it not knowing it’s running. I love all the different features - the adjustable second rack, bottle jets and especially the third rack ( I really didn’t think I would like that top third rock but I actually love it... Nice not to have to bend down when getting out the clean silverware. And it holds small items that before we fly all around ). Very easy install. Very happy with this purchase I would highly recommend it! I just can’t believe it does not come with an owners manual. Not everything should be online! The picture below shows the dishwasher in use. The orange light means it’s working. And you can see the number of minutes left just at the top. By the way the cycles are very long but I run it at night so I don’t really care about that.

After updating our oven with a GE model, we decided to go with a GE model for our dishwasher as well. We chose this one over another very similar model since this one has the third rack at the top for lids or for plastic or wooden utensils. We like the towel bar handle look on the outside and it looks great in our kitchen. We were amazed at how quiet it is when it is running a cycle. Our previous dishwasher was so loud, we almost didn't think this one was running. We learned that we needed to add some rinse aid to keep the dishes from being "spotty" after a cycle. The one negative we've had with it is the dishes still come out wet. We have not figured out how to prevent that. We have to prop the door open and let it air dry, which it does in a few hours. It would just be nice to have them completely dry when the cycle was finished. For that reason, it gets 4 stars from us instead of 5.

This dishwasher is super quiet and get my dishes so clean. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

The 1st model I bought GE #GDT655SSJSS flooded my new kitchen after the first use. I had water dripping from our kitchen into our garage below. The sensor to stop the washer from filling did not work and the water overflowed into our entire kitchen. I went into Best Buy to file a warranty claim and the item was out of stock, so I ordered the higher model as I didn't want to take my chances with the same exact dishwasher. Best Buy has moved the delivery date of the GE #GDT695SSJSS twice now. My wife and I are hosting our Christmas family gathering with the dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen. We are not happy at all. I've had to pay to upgrade to the higher model, for a plumber to check the dishwasher and remove it, and I'll have to pay again for a plumber to install the new dishwasher because of a defective dishwasher. This doesn't even include the flooding of my new kitchen and scratches on my travertine floor from moving the defective dishwasher so many times. We are not happy at all!!! I will be talking to an attorney about this.

We are now a month in with the new dishwasher and we are loving it. A few major callouts you'll want to know as you are shopping different options: - The third row rack is a game changer! - The bottle washers on the second rack work perfectly. Especially for our baby bottles! - The Steam Clean cycle...we've never seen dishes come out so clean! (Note: This cycle takes a loonnnnngg time, but definitely worth it) - This unit is super quiet and most of the time we cannot even hear it running. - The drying feature actually works, and works really well! The only downside to the unit, and it's not really a negative, is that nearly all of the cycles take a long time (200ish minutes) and if you opt for steam cleaning and dry features for your run it only extends that. So if you need a unit that washes very quickly, this may not be the right choice for you. If you don't mind a bit longer of a run for extremely clean and dry dishes I highly recommend this unit!

We love the look and design of this dishwasher and have found the performance above average. With young kids in our home, it was important that the buttons be hidden. We would like it better if the door closed a little more tightly (we have had some incidents of our toddlers falling from pulling on the door and it opening). Also, about 1/3 of the time, the dishes do not dry completely with the dry setting. Otherwise, the dishes are always clean and it has worked well for the last 3 years that we have used it.

The GE GDT695SGJBB dishwasher does a good job of washing your dishes. I love the third (top) rack for silverware and generally take out the silverware baskets. If I have something that I want to put in the basket, I love that it breaks into 3 smaller parts, taking up less room, so I can just use one small basket. I like all the wash options, including the wash zones. I find you do not have to use the heated dry option. If you open the washer up, the dishes and the tub will dry in an hour or two. I also like the bottle jet clips on the middle rack. I have not run the bottle jet option, but I use the clips to hold plastic. The middle rack adjusts up and down and all my cups can fit in the rack. The washer is very quiet and the dishes don't hit each other while it is running. Of all the new types of washers, I think this is one of the very best for the price.

I spent at least two hours (probably more) comparing dishwashers, features, prices and reviews. This dishwasher was a bit pricier than my last two but it had some features that i felt made it worth it. the ability to just wash top or lower was one, because with just two of us in the house now it takes too long to fill completely. The upper tray for small items or utensils is a great perk, and the ability to adjust the height of the upper tray. on top of all of that, the dishwasher was claiming a low noise level. i am happy to report it is super quiet. i no longer have to turn up the tv when the dishwasher is running. it looks nice, and the stainless steel tub on the inside will make it easier to keep clean with my hard water. The price went down by $100 shortly after my purchase and as usual, BEST BUY provided great customer service and refunded the price difference.

Dishwasher works as advertised. Heated dry is very hot, so most of the time I don't use and just let the evaporation of the hot wash/rinse dry and most items are dry to put away on their own after several hours. Like to run at night and empty in the am. But now I can start right away after dinner and still hear the television no problem!

I usually don’t get excited about appliances, but this dishwasher does an amazing job. With my old washer I practically needed to wash them by hand for the washer to get them clean. With this washer no prewash is needed. This is so quiet, the first time I used it , I thought I hadn’t turned it on because I didn’t hear any noise. I love the controls on top of the door, it’s very handy. Overall a great dishwasher.

They had to take up space somewhere to add the 3rd rack. Unless you have baby hands, it is extremely hard to hook up the water line. I had to remove the hard copper line and replace with a flex line. Also I had to use one of those special under the sink type wrenches to tighten the adapter. It is at a 90 degree angle compared to my old Kenmore. Other than the hookup, it has been great so far. Pretty quiet and cleans well. Oh yeah, one more thing - the soap dispenser doesn’t open if I put something tall in the bottom rack where the dispenser is at when it’s closed.

This dishwasher is so quiet! You can honestly barely hear it running. All of my dishes come out so clean. My favorite part about this dishwasher is the third rack; it is so handy to put knives, spatulas, and other cooking utensils. Our delivery/installation guy was super polite, on time, and very quick. He was very knowledgeable of what he was doing. He called me a day or two before he was arriving to schedule a time, called when he was about a hour away, and arrived right on time. I could not have asked for a better experience! Over very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this to replace an older model that was no longer cleaning my dishes properly. I am impressed with it so far. I have put a dish with dried tomato sauce in and it came out perfectly clean. The third rack for flatware is a huge improvement over the standing rack in the bottom. The dedicated bottle jets help keep our reusable water bottles in top condition. One of the nicest features is the ability to only wash the top rack or only the bottom rack for those times when you have a smaller load. Overall, this has performed incredibly well for me.

Third dishwasher I've tried this year, including the brand that is supposed to be the best. Finally I have a winner! Washes well (I only scrape unless it's egg), dries well, and is whisper quiet. I am so happy with this appliance.

We replaced an ancient GE dishwasher that was loud and didn’t work well. We love this model with how quiet it runs and that it actually dries the dishes. We also like the top, hidden rack for knives. All in all, very happy with our purchase. The black slate is beautful and doesn’t smudge as much as our lighter stainless appliances.

I love how quiet this dishwasher is! And, am very happy that my dinner plates actually fit. However, I have an issue with getting my bowls to fit between the small dividers which is why I have mixed feelings. I thought the tippy top rack would be awesome but... meh... no big deal. It actually gets in the way and I'm thinking of removing it. There really is no place to put cooking utensils unless they are flat... then they can go in the tippy top rack so... yeah, mixed feelings.

Very happy with this purchase. Extremely quiet. No reason for anything quieter. The water draining is the loudest part of the cycle. Dishes always come out clean and dry.

We purchased this dishwasher for it's sound level, 45dB, and it is quiet. The bottle washers work great, and the 3rd rack is good for large items like serving spoons, and Chef's knives.. It has an indicator light to let you know when it's running/finished, Handy since you really can't tell it's running unless you're right next to it. We are very happy with this purchase.
