If the noise developed over time and sounds like it is coming from within the unit, please let us know. This would not be normal and we would like to take care of it while it is still in warranty. It is a little noisy, but we use it to keep the kitchen cool which then helps keep the house cooler.

HOwever, this is a bit loud to me. However, the key thing is that it fits in a VERY small window. I trimmed the "gusset" bracket thingie to that it fit in my window, which had just like a half-inch or so of space left-to-right in which to fit.
