    The GE 3-outlet wall tap surge protector works well. Because it plugs directly into the wall outlet, no cords are in the way. It looks much neater and has room to charge 3 items at once.

    the protected light turns on and it holds 3 plugs. what more can you really say about a surge protector since you never know if it works until you need it.

    We have this in our bedroom which we like to keep pitch black at night. It would be nice if this item had a switch with which to turn off the blue "protected" light, but that would defeat the purpose. Also, it doesn't have a feature to allow it to be bolted to the outlet, which would be nice because we have a curious toddler.

    Doesn't stay in the wall, no screw to secure it in. Also outlets are too close together so if you have a wider plug you lose an outlet since it overlaps.
