Great washer. It’s a little bit lower tech than our previous but it washes great and is pretty quiet as far as washers go. Had a ton of different wash options and even handles our king size Sherpa blanket without issues. I love that it’s just a bit shorter, makes getting the clothes out of the bottom a little easier. Everything comes out fresh and clean as expected. Great machine for families, the tub is huge!

Love this washer! Its massive capacity is amazing! Blankets, quilts, bring it on! Cleans my mechanic husbands carharts beautifully. It sits tall and looks very nice with matching dryer. I have a sepatate wash room, but this would be a nice looking set out in the open. It is a bit loader than some washers, however. I appreciate the cycle setting selections, bulky and jean among my favorites.

Very noisy.l can reach the bottom of the tub and it turns so l can get all the clothes from the back where my old maytag didn't. The settings are ok but my husband is blind and they are not friendly for him at all. The clothes come out clean so l trying to get use to the noise.

I compared reviews on washing machines and this one seemed to, rate very highly, despite some people saying the washer was loud or took an extended time to wash I find it reasonably quite and seems to go through the cycles of wash and rinse quickly and do a very nice job in making things very clean, a bonus it is a much larger washer than my older one making it easier to clean large loads.

I was looking for a replacement washer that had similar features to my old one. This was recommended by a Best Buy rep, who pointed out several features that would interest me. Things like a manual water level selection vs. an automatic level, spacious tub, etc. Plus it was on sale, so I had it delivered. They were on time and very quick in it’s setup. I tried it out that day and found out some of the differences right away. The time it takes for the washer to get filled is a lot longer, and so is the time between modes. It seems like the washer decided to take a break after the spin cycle before giving a cheerful chime and unlocking the lid. Also, the spin cycle is very long. Hardly any water is coming out of the machine, and it’s still spinning! The noise it makes is about the same as the old one. The clothes were clean, so I can’t complain too much about it. Just a few quirks to get used to.

Our 20 yr. old machine died. We wanted simple to use top loader. Had it a month now. It’s in garage on concrete floor. Much quieter than old machine. I really like the manual water level setting. It takes about same time as old machine to do a load. Old machine cleaned well, but this cleans better. You must read manual as it doesn’t work like old machine. Has pauses & turns drum differently which seems odd at first but is normal. So read the manual. But easy to use after the first load. It spins the clothes better so they are drier. This allows 5-10 minutes less time in dryer. The balancing of the spin is smoother so you don’t need to rearrange clothes. I put a lot of research into this purchase. I’m very pleased with this purchase. I would strongly recommend it. l haven’t found any negatives so far. I also like the steel door. I’m afraid of glass doors. Has not broken down yet, but I purchased extended warranty. I like this machine better than my daughter’s new LG. My machine is easier to use & I have control over water level & spinning. I feel it cleans better too.

Previously, we had always had the old fashioned washing machines (the kind that turns back and forth). This machine uses a spindle that goes up and down. The machine makes different kind of noises which take getting used to. But it does a great job cleaning clothes and gives you a lot more options for how to clean your clothes. The larger capacity is also nice when you need it.

I’m thrilled with my new washer. I would’ve preferred a front loader, however this one had a better connection with my budget. It washes very well, sound different from the older washers, I didn’t need all the bells and whistles and the brand GE has been trusted all my life.

My washer was delivered today. Did 2 medium loads and 1 small load. I'm VERY HAPPY with this washer! I did hrs and hrs of research before selecting this washer. It does everything I want it to and more! Some reviews state that it's loud, but I don't agree. The loudest noise is if you start the water fill before adding clothes, as the drum is metal (stainless steel), but that sound becomes more quiet with the addition of clothes. I found that the spin cycle and the draining of the water was far more quiet than my previous G.E. model; actually, it was super quiet! It does have a different kind of sound as the drum agitates back and forth, but it didn't agitate me : ) . I wanted a top-load model with a spiral agitator, and the ability to control the water level... not just let the machine weigh and decide how much water to add. It actually lets you choose to put clothes in before it adds water, or simultaneously, which is my preference. Plus, you decide if you want to put the detergent in first, or as the clothes become wet, as the water fills. The drum is nice and roomy, and a significant amount of water was removed during the spin cycle, which helps the drying process. The directions suggest that you add clothes "in clumps" (great word choice, G.E.!) so that they will more more freely. The deliver guys made sure it was level, so there was absolutely no vibration or walking during the spin cycle. While this more traditional model doesn't have a sleek glass top nor talk to my phone, I decided that getting the functions that I truly wanted really out-weighed the cosmetic glam of other machines (although I was a little bit tempted!). I'm very pleased with this washer and its performance!

Good washer that holds a lot! Simple to use, has a lot of features - no issues other than it can get off track- unbalanced sometimes during the spin cycle due to a lot of weight like blankets, etc. Overall pretty solid washer - I would buy again

Great upgrade from our previous washer. The absence of an agitator leaves a lot of room and the pre soak function and color settings work perfectly. After a year of using this daily we’ve had no issues and the clothes still come out as clean as day one. Very happy with this purchase!

I chose this washer because I wanted the closest one I could find to an old school, no frills washer. Although this is much more high tech than the old kind, I've been surprised how much I like it. It is a little loud, with weird noises at times, but tolerable. It can hold a lot of clothes or large bed linens. It has all the settings I need and gets the clothes nice and clean. I do usually use the deep rinse as I prefer it over just spraying water to rinse. I really have no complaints. I would give it the highest score if it wasn't so high tech which I think will make it harder to repair.

I almost let some of the negative reviews on this set stop me from purchasing it but I decided to take a chance on it and I’m so glad that I did. I wanted an easy to use washer that would get my clothes clean and wouldn’t negatively affect the quality of my clothes. This washer has definitely delivered and I’ve been using it at least weekly since purchasing it almost two months ago. The old school agitator hasn’t been an issue (in fact, I feel extra confident that my clothes are truly being cleaned as a result of it and they are. This washer removes stains and odors for me and my family regularly so I don’t understand some of the negative reviews). I also haven’t had any issues with clothes ripping or anything like that. As far as sound goes, I have a 2 bedroom apt and this set is hooked up in our master bathroom so we’re able to close the bathroom door as it does its thing if we want to and it’s no issue for us nor do I find it anymore noisy than my grandparents’ more modern washer or my boyfriend’s mom’s more modern washer, for example. I love that it has a deep clean cycle for clothing that needs a little extra tlc, a delicates cycle that is truly delicate (I’ve used it to wash my baby girl’s clothing so I know firsthand) and I love the auto soak setting and the deep rinse setting that you should absolutely use if you use a liquid fabric softener like me such as Downy. There is only one true con for me and it’s not that serious but I always have to press the deep fill setting if I’m washing a medium or large load. I’ve never bothered with the precise fill setting based on reviews so I can’t speak to it. The only time that the washer has moved on me is when I washed a small load of rugs and they became soaked with water, causing the washer to become unbalanced. To prevent this going forward I simply selected an extra spin on any small loads (a great feature as well) and boom, problem solved. There is also a 2nd rinse and an extra spin setting all in one. There is no place to put detergent (only fabric softener) but this isn’t a con for me. This washer will fill with the lid open so I always start it, put in my detergent, then start loading my clothes so that I don’t have to worry about putting detergent on top of my clothes. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase.

I've had this washing machine for about a month. I can honestly say that this is one of the best washing machines I have ever owned. It has a deep tub, so you can really get some decent sized loads done. It cleans your clothes really well. It's quiet while it's operating. It has a lot of options for all your washing needs. And, it's solidly built..there haven't been any squeaks or rattles. If you're looking for a good quality, dependable, made in America, washing machine, this is the one for you.

    Very Pleased With New Washer

Waited 3 months before I wrote this. Fortunately this washer has been exactly what I needed and it's been working out very well. I've been able to fit even my thickest blankets into this thing no problem and all my clothes have been cleaned well. While I'm not knocking points for this, new buyers need to keep a couple things in mind with this model: -It is a little louder than you think it is. It's fine for me because I'm used to loud washers and it's in a isolated room, but if you care alot about how loud your appliances are, you may need to look at other models. -There is a Deep Clean button that will fill up the tub with more water, but don't push the button too hard. Otherwise the physical button can get stuck behind the metal frame of the machine and it's a pain to get it back out.

About a yr and a half ago I bought a samsung big deep fancy shmancy HE washer thats supposed to be allllll the rage. I never felt like my clothes got very clean. Well, they didnt actually and beings as i live alone i dont wash a huge amount at a time so nooooo it wasnt overloaded by any means. My jeans smelled dirty, my undies werent clean. Yuck. And i dont think all the soap got dispersed or rinsed properly either. My clothes were pilling. And i had to stand on a stool to reach into the bottom of the darn thing. One day i said ENOUGH!!! I decided to go old school. Agitator! Dials! MY choice of water level! So i found this washer. Oh. My. God. My whites are white! My jeans are....clean!! Everything comes out smelling fresh and clean! It takes half the time to wash a load as the samsung. My stuff isnt getting pilling. Im so glad i took the plunge and got this washer.

Just purchased a couple weeks ago. My clothes have never been cleaner. It’s a little noisy but not much more than the old washer I had. I love the big drum of this 4.5 cubic ft. So much more space than the 3.5 I have had for many years. I like this new GE so far and am happy with the purchase and sell price I got
