Everytime we have used it it has oozed more of this. GE sent a 3rd party repair company out to look at it. They said it needs to be replaced. GE decide that the cooktop needs to be replaced and wont replace the whole unit. With this customer service I won't be buying anything else GE

oven issues

The burners would come on but the display panel would not. The delivery man suggested that there may be an issue with the 220 outlet. Have you heard of any similar situation?

Posted .Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you have experienced with the two ranges that were delivered to you. It is unusual to have this type of issue with a brand new range and to then have the same issue with a replacement model does make us consider that there may be other contributing factors. We always recommend replacing the power cord when you replace your range. If you were by chance using the same power cord that you had been using for many years that would be a good place to start. If a brand new cord was used with each new range, then the next step would be to have your electrical supply checked to ensure it's working properly. Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this oven 16 months ago. Warranty is out. Main circuit board blew up (no fault of ours/wiring). We've been out of a working oven for Thanksgiving and now Christmas. Long wait for service. Prior to that, the glass cooktop spontaneously cracked and had to be replaced. Did we get a lemon? Big regrets with this expensive purchase. Now, we are paying 1/2 the price of a new one to get it repaired - again.
