Since the glass top is black it shows everything. So expect to clean it after each cook. I do like it and would buy it again, just a different color.

A small scratch did appear (we found some baked on crap on the bottom of a pan), but it's now gone. We clean 2-3 times a week with a glass stove top cleaner, though most scratches/stains buff out with just a paper towel. Delivery and haul away of our old machine was also quick and efficient- only about 15 minutes of actual work!

Even using my tea kettle leaves marks that are hard to clean. I would not recommend this stove if you like to keep it clean looking. I've had this range for less than a month and I've cleaned it every day just to keep it looking nice. Definitely more marks show up when hood light is on! Very disappointing. My previous range was also a GE and I had it for over 15 years and I never had to spend as much time cleaning it.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We do have some tips to use to help with keeping your cooktop clean and free of stains. Follow the steps here 1. Allow the cooktop to cool. 2. Spread a few drops of ceramic cooktop cleaner on the entire burned residue area. 3. Use a non-scratch cleaning pad, rub the residue area, applying pressure as needed. 4. If any residue remains, repeat the steps. 5. For additional protection, after all residue has been removed, polish the entire surface with ceramic cooktop cleaner and a paper towel. In the use and care guide found on the website you can review additional cleaning tips. (page 21)
