Sent back had to wait one week because no stock was available. Then they found a stove and had to wait another week for delivery. Delivery and hookup made. I could not find instruction book and called BB. They said they don't know and to call GE. Called GE and found out that GE had shipped the range to BB in 2017. Now they had shipped it to me as a new unit as a replacement for a new unit that was damaged. They knew it was a floor model and they tried to pawn it off on me as a new unit. That is fraud. When I called them, the person said yes I show it as a floor model and made no apology or offer to reduce the price. I canceled the order and said I wanted the range picked up. I was told I had to wait a week for pickup. If I had not called GE trying to get a instruction book I would not have known that it was a floor model and BB would have overcharged me by 500.00. If I had needed warranty service since it was a floor model from 2017 who knows if I would be able to get service.

Posted .Hello John - this is Nancy at GE Appliances. We're sorry to hear that your glass cooktop is messed up. If you are having difficulty cleaning it, then you should be able to get the cooktop looking like new again. For heavy, burned-on residue, please follow these steps: Allow the cooktop to cool. Spread a few drops of Cerama Bryte® over the entire burned-on area. Hold a razor scraper at approximately a 45º angle against the ceramic glass surface and scrape soil. It will be necessary to apply pressure to the razor scraper in order to remove the residue. Keep small amount of cream on the residue as you scrape. After scraping with razor scraper, use the scrub sponge to remove any remaining residue. For additional protection, after all residue has been removed, polish the entire surface with the Cerama Bryte® and a paper towel. I hope this information is helpful!
