Nice microwave needs little more power

Overall happy with purchase. Found a great open box deal. Installed myself, needed a little preparation.
Family is happy with microwave, only con: lacks power vs our older countertop microwave. Has convenient "add 30 second" feature, so that takes care of that.
Hope this one last us a long time.

This microwave is great, great functions. I love the feature of having no handle on the front too. We recently bought the GE Profile Range and loved it so we bought the microwave to match.

Loving the microwave. The light under the microwave. Not so much. We just had this installed Tuesday 8/22/23. We’ve used it several times. I have not yet used the light under the microwave…until tonight. From my many uses of microwaves (40 yrs old), not much thought went into that light unless it just wasn’t working. Tonight I turned it on to make pasta sauce and needed extra lighting that I was thrilled to use. Until I just went to sneak a bite of crumbl Cookie before bed. I put the cookies inside to hide from prowling pets at night as I normally do. Under light had been on since dinner, again NEVER had an issue leaving light on under microwave before and this was probably 5 hours since cooking. I opened the microwave and thought dang that’s super warm inside. Looked at the cookies. And numerous cookies with the chocolate were melting as if straight from the oven. I touched the plate inside microwave and it was hot. Touched under microwave and it was scorching. Immediately turned the light off. I’m super concerned. Thank god I decided to be glutinous. Otherwise lord knows what could’ve happened over night to my family and pets. Upset doesn’t begin to explain it.
And this is a brand new purchase. Again 40 years old have never ever encountered something like this. Ridiculous. I’ll be contacting Best Buy in the morning to address other issues with scratches on the brand new GE Profile fridge and for the brand new GE Profile Dishwasher that was installed with a good inch gap between it and the counter top. Still waiting on the range. And this is on top of being on the phone for hours dealing with deliveries being canceled or postponed. Was supposed to hear back after delivery team (who were amazing) reported the scratches on fridge before 48 hours. Past that time now. Dishwasher I’ll take part blame bc I didn’t notice the mounting before they left as I wasn’t looking flush with the appliance just straight down.
