Absolutely terrible install and delivery experience. The first dryer arrived damaged so I declined delivery. Then I waited a month for the back order dryer to come, and then they didn't install the steam hose kit I paid for, I had to install that myself. I'll never purchase another appliance from Best Buy ever again and any chance I get I'll tell friends and family to purchase their appliances somewhere else.

I have been very happy with this purchase. This Dryer works great and dryes my clothes 2x faster then my old one. My wife loves the steam function and she is hoping to never have to iron clothes again. LOL

After purchasing brand new, within 3 weeks several technicians came out, finally diagnosed with a faulty mother board (Brain). It has been a total disaster, same for the matching dryer. Best Buy and GE refused to replace my appliances.

Defective Dryer

Just after the 1 year warranty expired the drying time on my clothes significantly increased. We’ve replaced the heating element and sensors and still not drying clothes correctly. Also, there was no lint blockage. No one can figure out what’s wrong. Now I have to buy a new dryer after only owning this one for 1 1/2 years.

Poorly made and designed

I bought this matching set to replace a 14-15 year old Whirlpool Duet front-loader set. I’ve had good luck with my other GE products and was optimistic. Boy was I wrong. The washer is noisy and so “efficient” you have to run it on the least efficient, most water consuming cycle just to get your clothes clean. The dryer has to be run in the least efficient way, and sometimes twice, just to get anything to dry completely. Yes, the dryer is vented properly and there is nothing broken with either of them, they just suck at their respective purposes .
We would like to assist you with your washer and dryer. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers, such as yours, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. Drying performance will also vary based on multiple factors such as the size of the load, the type of fabric (cottons hold more water than synthetics), the wetness of the clothes and the condition of your exhaust ventilation. Your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments along to our product team to review.
