good experience the geek squad was very helpful, but the purchase experience was very poor, had to wait in customer service line for twenty minutes before they could finally get my order right. very poor trying to get someone on the phone to help you about an online purchase and trying to hold it until geek squad could install it.

I went to 4 Best Buys in my area and all but one had an installer available and that installer was booked for the rest of the month then he was going to quit. It's a shame to lose customers because of a service. It's more disappointing when you try to call the store to check for an availability, and no one answered the phone. I wasted time and gas, which I will never get back. I returned the item and the geek squad services because it was useless and I didn't want to wait any longer. Will not count on geek squad anytime soon.

Remote starter works flawlessly and as advertised.

I found that the remote starter installation was done very well. Installed components appear factory installed. Also, The technician took the time to explain how to program 2 cars with one remote.

Once I got an appointment, things went smoothly. The tech informed me of addition charges before having me sign, they finished and called as expected, and the workmanship seems great (but it's only been a month so let's see if it holds up).

I returned the item that needed instalation, but having troubles with getting my money back for the installation that was an add on. I never actually picked up the item and did get a refund on the remote start unit. I've called customer service twice and both time they said they would issue a credit, but never did. Went into the local store and all they do is give me a number to call... same number I've been calling so no help. This is the first time I've had a problem with an online order.

The associate was so helpful and friendly explaining everything that I needed to know on how to work my new Remote Start on my car. Thank you for your Expertise!!!

I use this continually. I leave the house in the dark. It is priceless to have my car lit up, cooled, or warmed up before I leave.

The geek squad likes to make it seem like you're getting a great deal then hits you with a bunch of extra charges. In this case it was going to more than double the cost for my remote start turning a $200.00 dollar bill into almost $500.i promptly returned the item and now i am done shopping at best buy.

Would not work. Showed up to have it repaired, installer called off work. NO ONE CALLED ME. Made appointment to have remote removed, installer called off and NO ONE CALLED ME. Had to go in at 8.00 am on a Sunday to get remote starter removed. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience. From Geek Squad manager to installer and to the person who handled compliant on the phone.

Technician really knew his stuff!!! He immediately realized I'd purchased the WRONG remote starter. He described that using the older model I'd purchased would require added parts and significant labor to make it work. He recommended returning it and purchasing a newer remote starter that was designed for my car. Though there would be some added cost, it would better match the starter with the car on which it was installed.

nice basic remote starter. you should check if you need additional parts for your specific car.

works great as long you are at a window at work at home will start any where inside house

The product is good. The Geek squad installation at Midland MI was terrific. Tech was very thorough and did a great job and very expedient. Only comment is, I previously had a remote start by "Valet" I could start it very easily with my car in the garage. With Viper unit I need to get make sure I am more in align and need to try different spots in the house so I can line up more with the antenna

I bought the car starter for my sister. I just got a thank you note from her today telling me how much she is enjoying it. The person that helped me order it was very helpful, esp. since I know nothing about car starters. My sister said the service dept. was fantastic! Very professional and pleasant. We would both highly recommend the Best Buy store in Hutchinson, MN.

The installation was fine and even took less time than the guy predicted, but I was disappointed when I got there and found out that I had to spend an extra $155 on parts that were not included with the remote starter. I had no choice at the time but to spend the extra money.

No complaints, works great. I purchased this unit including installation on line and was surprised to find out that there would be an added charge of $130 for a module and software download because of a chip in my key, even after I had called the local store to see if there would be any extra charges. The store manager was nice enough to knock off $50.
