    Geek Squad could place for individuals with little to know technical knowledge. Great customer service however.

    As a last ditch effort, I took my computer to the Geeks. Normally I can fix myself. They were unable to do anything other than restore it to how it initially came from the box (total restore). Luckily, I had 99.5% backed up. They were unable to load some of the programs as promised and the disk to run my expensive printer/scanner/copier would no longer work. Ultimately I had to buy a new scanner (elsewhere). Within a day of their repair, windows had errors again. Not willing to trust it even tho it was only 2.5 years old (never had these issues before). Store manager let me cancel 1 year service agreement and apply it towards a new computer. Not what I was hoping for but in the long run, probably better than reloading everything only to have it crash again. Disappointed with this HP computer. Had many with no problems.

    I was told my hard drive was infected with male ware and none of my documents or pictures could be salvaged. Along with purchasing a new hard drive I also had to purchase kaspersky protection even though I was already covered and was in a continuing program for automatic renewals. I had a friend work on the old hard drive and he was able to recover everything that I wanted. He was also able to clean up my old hard drive and it is in working order. Totally dissatisfied with the Geek Squad's effort. I spent a total of $300.00 and ended up with a friend accomplishing what the G S could not do. I still have a 11 months left on my account but doubt that I will use the G S again.

    Had the geek squad load office on my laptop and virus program on my desktop. My desktop ran extremely slow. Ask for help but was told I would have to take my desktop in to bestbuy. I figured it out for myself, they had loaded the virus prog over my existing one(even though I told them up front I was running another one) . Later on my laptop I tried to use office and nothing works. Took the laptop in to bestbuy, wasted a couple of hours and they never got it to work, suggested I call for online support. So now I'll have to spend more time on the phone. I would have been better of doing all of this on my own, except the laptop has windows 8, which is a new learning experience.

    I am so sorry I purchased their tech support service. What a waste of money. After having them handle my computer twice, and not getting the problem resolved, I finally had to take it to another vendor who treated me professionally, respectfully and THEY DID fix the problem in a very timely manner. What's more, they sent me this survey and at the end they asked if I would like to have a manager follow up with me on my concerns. Of course I provided my information and asked that they would call me. It never happened!! Poor service and follow up all around. Would not recommend!

    I've had to call Geek Squad on two different occasions, and the result was the same- no help. The first time, I was on the phone for over 45 minutes with a tech that was unable to assist me get my Mircosoft product key from online. Later to inform me to call Microsoft. The second time, I had issues connecting to the internet after setting up a new router, again I was told to call the router manufacture, and If I still needed help I would have to pay $85 + for assistance. I informed the Geek Squad agent that I paid $349.99 for this service to always be told to call someone else?!

    its a long story but basically a "tech" did not back up my data, restored my computer and lost everything. As a result my HD was sent out of town to a lab to try and recover what they could (but not rushed as what I was led to believe) ....Heard my HD was back last night...spent 2 hours with the supervisor as he tried to 'find' what may be good.... as of last night 70% of what was recovered is corrupted and anything done in 2012 has been completely lost. I was not offered any remedy but was given my money back for this part when I asked... I was given a 'free' tech support program however I doubt I will ever take another computer to be worked on to the Conroe store.

    I had puchesed this service online on 10/13 & the tech couldn't fix problem. Tried to cancel the service with Agent Iyana she never processed the request. Also puchased new computer & new tech support at store later that day thinking the first tech support was cancelled but it wasn't. Spoke with agent anderson, Melinda, Brianna, Dakota & noone could fix the problem. Get an email they cancelled wrong support. Now credit card put an investigation on it & still no refund for first support. AWFUL!!!

    Bad customer service, I had a trouble with my mac after 6 days I bought it, I called around 1 am to solve the issue and they hang me the phone up 3 times while I was explaining the problem, conclusion I couldn't solve it.. I had to go in person to the Geek Squad next day....

    The tech said I had to pay for him to save everything in my computer, because he had to install Explorer on my computer. That was not true, because I had Windows Explorer under my programs and I even had an icon on my screen. That was not the reason why I was having problems. I confirmed with a Computer Engineer.

    I brought my computer in to retrive info, I had already ran a recovering program myself but felt I was not expert. I got my computer back in three days, still dirty ( they suggest they would take it apart and clean it) not done. They did not retrieve anythng I had not already done and now the files are courut and I cant open. They said I had a virus but my computer is slower than when it went in, it is an old computer but now it is super slow. They could make it faster for a price. Just a lot of lip service and nothing to back it up. disappointed.

    The first person I talked to did not know much about Apple products. She kept saying I have to look this up and read from the cheat sheet or manual. She was not helpful at all. The second person I talked to told me that they did not instruct how to do things and that data transfer information would cost extra. I thought I was getting help with the product no matter what I needed to do. I figured it out myself through the help clues on the computer. I think it was a complete waste of money as far as I am concerned. I wouldn't do it again and I spend lots of money at Best Buy. The Apple store gave me more help and theirs was more for tutoring. Should have bought from them, but they are so busy, it is hard to get waited on. Won't make this mistake again.
