    Vallejo has a horrible bad geek squad

    Paid them 200.00 for their 1 year service contract and they said it takes less than 72 hours for repairs. Really took them 2 weeks and several calls for motivation. Got computer back with finger prints all over the inside of my monitor screen. This was an iMac so removing the screen is a pita. When I opened it up to clean their fingerprints off I noticed a couple missing screws. I was treated like @$#% over the phone by their employees who are trained very well on how to handle irate customers or maybe they are real experienced at it. It would appear that being rude to customers don't affect their bonuses.

    I purchased this because I was told it could help me with my electronic needs. I needed to purchase a new wireless router and was concerned because it seems I always have problems with them. I was assured with the Geek Squad 24/7 that it would be no problem and if I did have problems all I had to do was call them and they would help me out. So of course, I had problems. So I called the number, I was transferred 4 different places and then told that I needed to call this number. The number they gave me was the same number I called to begin with. Then once I finally got someone to talk to me, he informed me that they had nothing to do with setting it up and that they could not help me. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!!!

    Geek squad were not knowledgeable. I was not provided with my new laptop setup to where I could use it for several days until I got someone else to set it up correctly. I was told it would take 20 minutes; instead I was there 2 1/2 hrs. and still left with a product I could not use at all. Staff at Geek squad were extremely unfriendly and did not provide setup as agreed upon at purchase date of purchase. I was provided with absolutely no training on the new Windows 8. If it had not been for the help of someone else I would have returned the product. Money spent for Geek squad was useless and wasted.

    The tech who came to my home was a lovely man but couldn't explain without tech and more tech in the answers. I didn't learn anything from him and didn't get the equipment set up because I was so frustrated with him that I said "never mind!" Definitely not user friendly though very friendly and positive attitude. I asked him to just set it up ready to work and he just kept up the tech stream of blah blah that I don't understand or care about. And your feed back method should just be simple and user friendly. The "musts" are irritating and part of the reason for a general blech on your service!

    I was told that my computer problem would be fixed the following day on 2/15/13 but it was NOT. Every day I inquired about the status & I was told it would be done by the end of the day----it took 5 days and the problem was NOT fixed. They promised to call me all those days and NEVER called me. On the 4th day the manager told me it would be done and the computer was not touched. The truth was never told to me and they kept me hanging every day for 5 days. These people at the counter gave the customer the same story over & over that their computer would be done on that same day. The completion date on the order form is incorrect they wrote in 2/17 when it was 2/19. Did they really look at it or try to fix it???

    Took two laptops in for Geek Squad service on January 18th 2013 which included installation of anti-virus software (WebRoot). Imagine my surprise when today 2-17-2013 I received an email from Geek Squad that my anti-virus software was "ready to be installed". When I picked up my laptops I asked if it had been installed and was told by two techs that yes it had. When I opened the download file today it said it was empty. I'm quite disapointed considering the amount of money it cost me for the service. I'll take this to management at the store with the hope that others don't experience the same

    The problem that I had is gone, but now there are MANY MORE bad problems. My e-mail is almost unusable, and I have pop-ups that constantly destroy my screen display. I need to make a list of these problems and return my computer for a much bigger fix !!!

    I've only called one time for a very simple question. The agent I spoke with did not identify himself and he acted like I was bothering him & he didn't have time to answer my question. When I tried to ask him a 2nd question, he replied with do you want to schedule an appointment or not? Then he hung up on me. If it was nothing more than an accidental disconnect, he could have called back, he had my phone number. I don't want to deal with Geek Squad again. If I have any other problems or questions, I will call my local Best Buy, they are much more helpful.. I can't believe that I have paid for a service that I can't use because of their incompetence and attitude. I have heard this comment from several people that have had to deal with them. I will gladly tell everyone about my experience with the Geek Squad! It's too bad that we pay for a service and we get treated as an inconvenience!

    very poor communication. long waits, not fixed in the end. They could not get rid of the virus without wiping the drive. We'd wait a week or more, finally get a message, call the number given, and nobody would know anything about it. After a month of this ("you need to get install discs from Dell"; then we wait for Dell to ship, then bring them to the geeks, then another long wait, then "these aren't the right discs." Start again, having gotten nowhere.) we brought home a computer that still won't work. Hey, they did apologize. First sign that anybody really cared. They also made a price adjustment (though they sold us a backup drive and a new computer, so big deal, they adjusted the geek membership).

    I paid for Geek Squad services to help address technical questions. I made an appointment to meet with a Geek Squad staff member to ask a few questions. When I arrived for my appointment, there were four people in front of me in line and only one person available to work with all of us. The Best Buy employee wanted to be helpful, but he was only able to spend about 5 minutes with me. I was told that I should come back on a weekday morning if I need more help. I paid for a service and now I have to take time off work to use it? Not thrilled with my Geek Squad experience so far.

    My computer took 3 times longer than promised, communication was poor, they called me 3 times for approval, even though approval had been given, then I was told my computer was finished when it wasn't.

    Took in PC making loud noise. 2 weeks later I'm told PC is fixed and ready to pick up. I went to pick up the PC. We turned it on and the noise was still there. I opened the side panel and found the noise coming from a video card. The inside of the PC had not been cleaned either. The agent removed the video card and then air cleaned the inside of the PC. It took ten minutes. I waited 2+ weeks and got no results until I arrived to pick up the PC and the fix took 10 minutes. I paid too much for the service.

    Can't give good or complete review or rating. Had takenthis computer. Had trouble getting on internet. Will have to take it back. I took an other computer in and I couldn't get that one on WY FY at all. I left it there and it hasn't been back yet.

    Laptop restored but not back to factory settings

    It appears that the Geek Squad did a store "Restore" to fix the virus (or whatever it was) and didn't restore back to my original Toshiba factory settings. I'm still working on getting it to look, perform, and work as it did prior to the problem.

    They were rude, uncommunicative and only seemed to want to make more money off of me. I had to call them to get answers and the person who answered the phone was rude and did not want to do their job.
